I have hesitated on that so far. I an certainly curious, but heard mixed things when it came out. Unsure how much any updates since then have changed.

I’ve got a question that I’ve tried to Google but the results seem to be everything but what I’m looking for.

So, I’ve purchased my wife a new OLED Switch for her birthday and it comes with Mario Wonder preinstalled. How does it work in regards to her transferring her old switch details onto the new one? Will it delete the preinstalled game? Or, will it still be on the system once a transfer has been done?

Here's what she'll do.

(UPDATE to below informaton- I found this link which explains how to transfer User / Save data after a Switch has been setup which may also be helpful: en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/27394/~/how-to-transfer-user-and-save-data-on-nintendo-switch#:~:text=be%20transferred%20there.-,From%20the%20HOME%20Menu%2C%20select%20System%20Settings%2C%20then%20Users%2C,address%20or%20sign%2Din%20ID. )

When setting up the new Switch, she will enter her same Nintendo I.D / Password she used on her previous Switch.

After setup is complete, she can re-download the previously-bought games that she'd bought from the Switch eShop (and previously-bought DLC for those games if any):

She can also insert any physical cartridges she has into the new system to get them to show up in the list of games.

After she's done that, she can transfer her Save Data for her games from the old system to the new one if she wants to:

Edit: Welp, beaten by a few seconds. I wonder now if DK Land 3 will be made available soon.

Honestly a steady stream of DK releases every week (Land III, GBA trilogy, Diddy Kong Racing, DK94, DK64) all leading up to Returns release in January would just feel perfect.

They really should stick up Donkey Kong Original Edition at some point, might as well post it if you have it. I guess the logic is probably that it doesn't serve much purpose on a console where you can just buy the arcade game but by that logic Punch Out shouldn't be on there.

NES Punch-Out!! and Arcade Punch-Out!! have different rosters and perspective (Super Punch-Out!! is closer to Arcade version than NES version that regard). Donkey Kong NES is just the Arcade game with fewer levels and adjusted graphics for the layout.

NES Punch-Out!! and Arcade Punch-Out!! have different rosters and perspective (Super Punch-Out!! is closer to Arcade version than NES version that regard). Donkey Kong NES is just the Arcade game with fewer levels and adjusted graphics for the layout.

yeah Punch-Out!! for the Arcade and Punch-Out!! Starring Mr. Dream are two very different games.

Pizza Pasta is not in the NES version for instance
