So NES Championships blocks the ability to use any glitch strats in the game, which honestly is pretty fair.

I've been playing DK Tropical Freeze lately and honestly it might have some of the best boss fights of any game.

I've picked up Wonder, way late. But I hadn't seen anything besides the trailer stuff you'd see in a Direct. I'm having a lot of fun with it, taking Daisy out for a spin. I've also picked up Sparks of Hope for afterward.

I'm (already) having a ton of fun with Nintendo World Championships- NES Edition. I'm actually having more fun trying to beat my own best times in the Challenges than anything else, so far. A terrific selection of 13 games and fun, varied challenges for each game.

Took them all of seven years, but this is finally a thing.
People are speculating if this means that the new console will use Joycons as well, but you can't charge them on the new console.

I ended up deciding to pick up World Championship - so far rather enjoying it - and I feel like I'm entirely too enamored in looking through the list of games you can choose as your favorite for your profile. Like the idea of a Nintendo game in 2024 namedropping WWF WrestleMania Steel Cage Challenge is just kind of so absurd but there it is.

Looks like the Yu-Gi-Oh collection is indeed getting localized

Weirdly for as thorough as the list is otherwise the NES list of games doesn't include what they call Earthbound Beginnings, though not really a huge deal since they include Mother (in that format) among the Japanese list.

Looks like the Yu-Gi-Oh collection is indeed getting localized I don't want to give Konami money... but dammit, I want Stairway To The Destined Duel.

Looks like the Yu-Gi-Oh collection is indeed getting localized If people buy this and it leads to a Tag Force Collection, this’ll be a win for everyone.

Getting the sense NES Championships isn't doing super well. It's still only at #3 on the NA eShop and #4 in Japan and took awhile to get that high, and while I imagine a lot of people aren't going to touch the tournament feature the fact the most popular one of those for the first week only had 50,000 participants seems incredibly low. Shame since game is a lot of fun and I'd love to see a SNES version sometime.

There's a controller button collection Gachapon machine in Japan which essentially is the best way to get replacement controller parts for GC controllers

www.nintendolife.com/news/2024/07/rumour-mario-and-sonic-at-the-olympic-games-finishedThe Paris 2024 Olympics kicked off last week and if you're wondering where the latest Mario & Sonic game is, it seems the series might have been retired. Lee Crocker, an individual who worked on "all the games in the franchise" put out an announcment on social media claiming the series finished with Tokyo 2020. He goes on to share an image of himself with the Olympic committee president in 2009, where he presented a demonstration of the Olympic Winter Games release. x.com/leecocker/status/1816536884304327017According to Cocker's official website, he spent 14 years managing the Mario and Sonic Olympic franchise, overseeing external publishing, development, asset licensing from inception to launch, and ensure a timely delivery of high-quality games within a budget. He also credits Sega and Nintendo as being some of the many companies he's worked with over the years.

On August 9th they're putting Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team on NSO. Bit surprising given the remake.
