I've noticed a lot of people are saying that TNA should always be like this, or should do more storylines like this. I'll warn everyone right now, the second time will not be anywhere near as special as this, and diminishing returns will set in. It's nice they got some hype out of this, but I just don't see how they could sustain any hype out of it. But hey, they managed to produce about a half hour combined of TV worth watching this year, which is about 30 minutes more than I would have expected. This reminds me of a story Cornette told about the famous Memphis concession stand brawl between Lawler and Dundee against the blond bombers (I think those were the participants), that the second brawl wasn't as important because it couldn't live to expectations from the first one. I think the same could apply here, the Hardys already risked injury, I don't think they can top this. The thing is, the garbage wrasslin' stuff wasn't the most important part, or even all that essential to why this worked. We've all seen Jeff Brother Nero climb shit almost as high as his mental state and leap off it plenty of times before. What sold this was Matt's hologram-projecting drone army VANGAURD 1 luring Brother Nero away so that while he's busy attacking drones with his guitar, Matt can deface his lawn. And Senor Benjamin preparing for massacre. And Matt winning via magic-candle-induced immolation.

I agree it was entertaining, but I don't think there should be more segments like this in a while. I may be mistaken, the ratings will prove if this is the right direction or not. There's times you've got to take your business cap off and just grab some drinks, food, and enjoy. I did that and I had an absolute blast, something I haven't had watching either WWE or TNA or indies for the longest time. TNA has been on a decline for years. Nothing will stop that, so may as well put on entertaining viewing on their way out. They achieved it. It's impossible to complain about having a great time watching entertainment. You're right, it's just that I want tna to die with some dignity...but guess they lost theirs years ago.

I was referring that the concession brawl couldn't live to the expectations of the first one, and that a new chapter of the Hardys won't live to the expectations of the first one, and it'll keep diluting itself.

They'll see the buzz as 'Oh, THAT'S what we should be doing!' Then we'll be subjected to a Decay match inside some haunted house. Or Lashley in a MMA cage. Or Mike Bennett inside a 12 x 12 room surrounded by white drywall. Matt Hardy is the MVP of this. He's taken years of failed emo personalities like the Diablo Angelico and finally went full camp with it, which makes it much more effective in being entertaining. It took time to get it right. I can't see every talent getting it right in this format.

Weirdly enough he got over by accident, this wasn't the original direction of the character, he was smart enough to take all the negative feedback from the contract signing segment and turned it around. It was a good move by him. He knows he won't ever be the top guy so he stopped trying and just dedicated himself to entertain.

I still think it's a coin toss whether he wanted to be intentionally camp or that he switched it up on the fly because it came off that way. It's why the Tommy Wiseau comparisons keep coming up. Everyone involved in "The Room" insist he was being serious, but Wiseau was claimed he was totally in on the joke.

It was alright, I assume the Hardys paid for the lot as the holo-drone (the best bit!) exceeds TNAs budget.
Jeff is going to have a miserable old age, retired wrestlers who took half the bumps he has totter around like 90 year olds, god knows how he'll be.

The whole thing has been too absurd from start to finish for even someone like Matt to not know the only way to make it work is to camp it to the hilt.

That has to be the most unique thing I've seen it quite some time. Bravo Hardy brothers.

Also, those f***ing drones and that Matt hologram. I half expected Jeff to do a flip off his bike while the drones turn into foot soldiers and Jeff fights them while flipping around like it's f***ing Power Rangers.

The time for Impact being a serious company is gone. Impact is dead, let them do more of this. Best thing they've ever done. Filming more stuff like this would be cheaper than hiring the venue. Imo the giant Hardy shed should be their venue.

What I find trippy is that people online have turned against Lucha Underground after this aired long before LU executives tossed shade at TNA on Twitter. The same people who were diehard LU fans who went hard after those who questioned things anything about the show or didn't toss blind devotion to it now are openly insulting Lucha Underground. Calling it overproduced and dare I say generic. The same show that they couldn't shut up about all the way up to last night. But now isn't cool like Final Deletion. Just goes to show how quick people are to jump on a bandwagon. They'll probably be back on the LU train when Ultimo Lucha Dos air or when they watch next week's Impact & don't get their Hardy Boys wackiness fill.

This was a good fun trash match and Matt Hardys insane brain deserves a round of applause for thinking this up. However, this is a once in a while novelty for TNA while LU has been had it's charm. The buzz from this will last a week or so and after that it won't be talked about as much but will always be remembered and referenced. In a sense this was the last "good" you will get from TNA as far as all out awesome concept from two crazy people. The Hardys put a lot more thought then anybody in their right mind would of for this and it came out to be very great imo. Next week the CWC airs and everything else falls in line.

It will be weird for the Hardys in a few days when they see that TNA left all of their production equipment and their truck there and realize that TNA is now basing their operations out of their backyard permanently.

In a way it's the purest expression of wrestling, two brothers doing stunt work in their backyard while playing over-the-top operatic characters.
It's like the NHL going back to doing big events of playing outdoor games like when the players were kids.

I hated it. Wrestling takes enough of a kicking as it is. For Jeff to risk himself in this POS is insane. I HOPE Cornette buries the hell out of this because, quite frankly, it deserves it.
