I hope Lorenzo Lamas' cigar-smoking boss in the limo turns out to be Matt Hardy.

This is the greatest night in the history of our sport.
Meta-humor and breaking the fourth wall is getting tedious. However, the best part about this is THEY WERE IN ON IT!!! They purposefully produced this. They put garbage out and made it spectacular.
The details about this are the best part. Jeff reluctantly going along with this...Reby rolling her eyes visibly on camera...Senor Benjamin...
Matt and Jeff are more brilliant than we give them credit.

Goddamn give these two f***ers complete control of TNA and let them go full Hardy Show, full Final Deletion on it. Dead serious about his too. Go over the top. LU has the soap opera/sci-fi stuff, ROH has the sports side, and WWE is the traditional (so to speak) so embrace the crazy and grandiose.
Seriously, this is the best built thing TNA has done in age and it actually delivered (in a strange way) at the end.
Of course my one fear is TNA now facing a ton of lawsuits and going out of business from the idiot parents of....uneducated ones and even said grown up idiots that set themselves on fire in Roman candle wars after seeing it in this. A couple of days after Independence Day may not have been the best timing in that regard.

I guess there was a lesson there after all.

So you're telling me I should see this?
It's TNA, I never watch it and they never make it any noise, and this has some buzz.

If you're going without an audience and editing it and everything just throw a damn dummy out of the tree, idiots. I don't think tna can afford a dummy at this point.

Now that you mentioned it, I think that only Matt wanted to do the segment and his family wanted no part of it.

I weep for those who can't cast aside their disdain for TNA on this special occasion and let the poor company take their victory lap. Today is not a day to be concerned with long term gain or financial stability. Today is a day to appreciate these two goofball millionaire Beverly Hillbilly yokels putting their reputation and bodies and lawns on the line for the sake of their craft and changing the game. Run with this, TNA, I beg you. Stop trying to convince yourselves you're one of the big boys and embrace the strange. My only disappointment was that this wasn't the entire Impact. Imagine two hours of this cat and mouse game.

The time for Impact being a serious company is gone. Impact is dead, let them do more of this.
Best thing they've ever done.
Filming more stuff like this would be cheaper than hiring the venue.

I love that LU and TNA have just embraced being bat shit insane and maybe just maybe TNA has learned that to overcome the giant that is WWE is not to beat them at their own game but by being an alternative.
face eating heart ripping drug smuggling money laundering
Now if TNA just runs with what they have stumbled on then TNA can join LU in being the 2 companies that have fully embraced just being bat crap crazy and willing to do and go where other companies are not.

I've noticed a lot of people are saying that TNA should always be like this, or should do more storylines like this.
I'll warn everyone right now, the second time will not be anywhere near as special as this, and diminishing returns will set in. It's nice they got some hype out of this, but I just don't see how they could sustain any hype out of it.
But hey, they managed to produce about a half hour combined of TV worth watching this year, which is about 30 minutes more than I would have expected.

I'm sorry, I disagree, this type of story telling doesn't draw the money tna needs to survive. I don't think there's an audience big enough who would just tune in for tna becoming the Hardy show. It was a good segment but not a game changer.

This reminds me of a story Cornette told about the famous Memphis concession stand brawl between Lawler and Dundee against the blond bombers (I think those were the participants), that the second brawl wasn't as important because it couldn't live to expectations from the first one. I think the same could apply here, the Hardys already risked injury, I don't think they can top this.

There's times you've got to take your business cap off and just grab some drinks, food, and enjoy. I did that and I had an absolute blast, something I haven't had watching either WWE or TNA or indies for the longest time. TNA has been on a decline for years. Nothing will stop that, so may as well put on entertaining viewing on their way out. They achieved it. It's impossible to complain about having a great time watching entertainment.
