Loving a lot of people getting all upset over "scalpers" buying these and selling them for a lot of money. In other words, you're pissed off you didn't do it too.

Personally, I don't get mad at people buying then selling them at a mark-up, I get mad at people who'll drop hundreds of dollars on a $60 product while there's still the possibility the thing will get another print. Don't blame the people profiting, blame those who'll pay them. Really I wouldn't even say 'get mad', more, "Really? You're that desperate?" kind of disbelief.

She had no intention of selling it until we saw the going rate for them elsewhere. We can now get at least £200 for something we paid £50 for and then months from now when Nintendo have increased the amount they're supplying and they've dropped down in price, we'll buy one then. Does that make us scalpers? Nope. We never bought it for the purpose of immediately selling it at an increased price.

So long as people are willing to throw that much money at it by all means, make a profit. No idea why people can't just wait but hey, that's their problem, you might as well benefit off them.

The NES Classic would've paid for half of Christmas for him. Just for the record, where WAS it available for pre-order? I heard it wasn't widely available for pre-order.

We pre-ordered it on Amazon in July. Not sure if they stopped taking pre-orders at some point.

So why are you upset over it? I mean *I'm* annoyed because I actually wanted one. For myself. To play.

You don't see how someone who simply wanted to get a console on the day of release for their own personal enjoyment may be a little mad that the only people who seemed to get them are trying to bilk people for ridiculous amounts of money? How that's shitty? You do you with selling your pre-order - that's your prerogative. But to say everyone who has a legit complaint about the way this is run is only pissed because they couldn't capitalize on it themselves is a lie, and they have every right to be pissed off about it as you do to sell it for an insane mark-up.

Couldn't get it at WalMart last night or on Amazon earlier. Hoping to still get lucky before Xmas. Whole family is pretty stoked about this little thing.

If they wanted one that bad on the release day, why didn't they pre-order them? We didn't buy it planning to sell it. But things change. Having to suddenly pay out nearly £350 on our dog in vet bills changes things slightly.

Having to suddenly pay out nearly £350 on our dog in vet bills changes things slightly. To start, pre-ordering shouldn't be the only way to get something. It's *A* way, but not *THE ONLY* way. Second, that doesn't make it okay for things, on the day of release, to be scooped up in such a massive quantity that basically NO ONE gets one. Not pre-ordering is not a justification for taking some people for their money just because you can, and leaving other people who genuinely wanted one empty handed.

And as I said, we genuinely wanted one, we still do. But we're willing to wait. Faced with having to fork out a huge amount of money on our dog and being able to recoup some of that on a luxury item is something I'm sure a lot of people would do.
