245 attendees?? Is that as aggressively low as it sounds? Not really. It was a fairly small building. Actually... yeah, it's pretty shitty attendance. Here's what the last shows held there drew: www.profightdb.com/locations/japan/kochi/kochi/kochi-sunpia-chres-1555.htmlI mean, for NOAH it's been diminishing for quite a while there (just below 350 people last year, above 400 in years past) but what it's jarring is seeing NJPW pulling over 1000 there last year for the first day of FANTASTICAMANIA (claimed full house with over 1200 people, main-event with Tanahashi, Liger and Mistico vs Okada, Gedo and Ultimo Guerrero) and a random World Tag League day (with Tanahashi/Juice vs Yujiro/Page in the main) while NOAH... yeah. Then again, it's in Kochi, which means it goes into the "not-Tokyo" area, which means NOAH can't draw for shit there (and this has been going on since pretty much the beggining of the company, as most of their big numbers come from Tokyo shows and fail to even come close even in hotbeds like Osaka and Kyoto).

The GHC Titles have apparently been vacated as Kenoh betrayed Masa Kitamiya today and laid him out.
Just because you're working with TNA doesn't mean you should start copying their mindset and booking.

NOAH “The Second Navig.2017”, 2/24/2017 [Thu] 18:30 @ Korakuen Hall in Tokyo(1) Akitoshi Saito vs. Rionne Fujiwara (FREE) ◆Winner: Saito (8:40) following the Sickle Death. (2) Muhammad Yone & Maybach Taniguchi vs. HAYATA (DOVE) & YO-HEY (FREE) Hi69 (FREE) ◆Winner: Yone (9:47) following the Kinniku Buster on YO-HEY. (3) Hi69 (FREE) vs. Daisuke Harada ◆Winner: Harada (11:35) with the Katayama German Suplex Hold. (4) Taiji Ishimori vs. Tadasuke (FREE) ◆Winner: Ishimori (10:19) with a 450° Splash. ~ The GHC Jr. Tag Champions trade a 1-1 loss as they head into next months title match. (5) Masa Kitamiya & Kenoh vs. Takashi Sugiura & Kaito Kiyomiya ◆Winner: Sugiura (12:04) following the Olympic Qualifying Slam on Kitamiya. ~ Kenoh betrayed Kitamiya while he had Sugiura caught in the Kangokugatame. He kicked Kitamiya in the face then hit him with a Diving Foot Stomp. After the match he alligned himself with Sugiura. Both he and Sugiura then held the GHC Tag belts while Kitamiya was down on the mat. (What does this mean for the state of the GHC Tag belts, clearly now vacated, but so soon with GREAT VOYAGE in YOKOHAMA coming up on 3/12.) (6) Naomichi Marufuji vs. Atsushi Kotoge ◆Winner: Marufuji (16:58) following a Pole Shift style Emerald Flowsion. ~ Maybach Taniguchi came out and looked to have tried to confront Marufuji. The two shook hands though as they potentially look to form as a team. (7) Katsuhiko Nakajima & Hajime Ohara vs. Go Shiozaki & Hitoshi Kumano ◆Winner: Kumano (27:18) with the MN on Ohara. ~ Kumano with the win over the GHC Junior Champion before the title match set for next month in Yokohama.~ ~ Both and he and Shiozaki celebrated their win over the champions.

Sure, it's low but with tickets in Japan for wrestling running at 30.00 USD for the cheap seats and 60.00 USD for the ringside. Even if they sold just general seats that's still a 7000 dollar gate. Not bad for a spot show that they've probably only spent 1000 to put on.

NOAH's been doing a lot of American like booking lately. Guys are throwing titles down and vacating them, Tag partners are betraying each other, while tag champions.
Seriously TNA is the last company you want to be imitating in booking.

NOAH spent the last 2 years being ran by NJPW that they forgot how to stand on their own and willing to hook up with anyone selling them a dream. No coincidence that NOAH's booking changed when they announce the partnership with TNA.

Not shocked really. New Japan dropped Cody after his injury and he still wants to work in Japan. NOAH needs bodies and since Hall already knows the puroresu scene, he'll fit right in. Might be their new go to gaijin since TMDK and Hero left.
