Oh right, there's other characters too.
Seriously though, looking forward to the Kingdom.

Okay better said they probably should of had a backup plan in case. Yes, LA doesn't get rain but still always plan for everything. Ehh I wouldn't say it's made it's more interesting more like it's there and those folks who came are troopers for sitting out there. Still wondering why Hardwick hasn't been given an Umbrella. Jeez... At this point it seems like he's refusing. Maybe it could be he wants to be like "one of the people" since I doubt many folks out there have umbrellas.

If I had to rewrite it I would of had them show Abe getting hit at the season finale and then you could of started this season with the Daryl punch and Glenn death but all in all the episode succeeded in its purpose of showcasing Negan and breaking Rick.

Yeah that probably would have softened the backlash with the finale and maybe even provide a bigger shock value by showing who it was. Then they would still keep the swerve with the second death in the premiere.

That was honestly the first episode I have watched since maybe 3 or 4 episodes into season 2. Good stuff. May try binging the earlier stuff or just say screw it and watch from here.

Having the summer to sit on the death of Abe would of added intrigue but I get they wanted to go for shock value more with 2 deaths in that episode instead of one.

I would say dabble in some episodes through the seasons but you don't need to watch everyone. Howeve, you could start here as it's almost a "brand new" approach and "different world"

f***. Just f***. And one helluva swerve. And all we needed was to sacrifice Denise show Abe could stick around a little longer.
And damn, Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Just damn.

Reading some of the comments on Facebook are amusing me. A lot of "fans" are saying they're done with the show because they went too far with the violence. What were they expecting? It's cool seeing Hershel getting his throat slit and decapitated, Beth gets shot in the head, Nicholas body ripped to shreds while shielding Glenn, Noah torn apart, and yet seeing who Negan picked and killed is driving them away?
Seriously though, both characters went out like a boss and didn't back down. I was honestly afraid that they were going chicken out again and have it be a minor character instead.

I have to ask though. {Spoiler}Let's say Daryl didn't interfere and punch Negan. Would Negan have still kept his promise and not kill anyone else? Or would he have still killed Glenn for shits and giggles?

I see a lot of those comments and even poor reviews saying they did not deliver. As a person who reads the comic when I read a spoiler last week on the deaths I could not wait to see it on screen. Idk what people could of wanted or expected as the landscape is now changed. This was their red wedding moment.

He prob would of stopped with Abe but one person out of line is all the ammo he needed to go a step further.

So I'd guessed it'd be Abraham who would take the bat. So when he was picked I was maybe a little disappointed. I never expected them to take Glenn too.
This would have been a fantastic finale for last season instead of what they gave us.
