Sweet. I always did prefer the US Stardust Speedway tracks.

had an odd bug on the Switch.
the menu button didn't work and trying to put it into sleep mode had the menu for the system come up... but the control was still firmly in the game.
had to hard reboot the system to get out of it.

Played a couple hours on the PC version of Sonic Mania today and {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} THE BOSS IN CHEMICAL ZONE 2...OH MY GOD! I actually shed a tear (I played Sonic a lot with my Uncle, who died young almost exactly 17 years ago today.) What a nice little nostalgia trip.

Happened to me once too, but I assumed that was because I was downloading Namco Museum at the same time.

PC Version's got some DRM which is pissing some people off.
Having finally gotten the chance to play today after some initial issues (seriously, waiting after two delays and then no automatic Logitech Gamepad support?), game's been a blast. Haven't found many special stage rings, but I've been hitting the Blue Sphere bonus stages every chance.

I know of 6 between the two acts of Green Hill Zone (Though with Sonic or Tails you have to exploit a glitch) and 3 in Chemical Plant Act 1. Already have Super by that point so didn't keep track of others.

When it comes to special stage rings, I just grinded the one in Green Hill Zone that you pretty much always find. With how difficult they get as you go, I wasn't much interested in having to keep finding the things, lol.

Sonic Forces has a North American release date now of November 7th. The physical version has a Bonus edition (which surprisingly from what I can tell is only listed at 40 bucks US) that comes with controller skin and costume pieces for character. Here's a picture for all three consoles.

I will admit these extra costume pieces are sick and it involves 2 of my all time favorite series

In addition that's the sequel software to the infamous SecuROM that probably spent more time bricking PCs than actually keeping games secure.

It sucks because I was thinking of buying Sonic Mania on Steam when I get my GPD Win so I could play on trips and such, and now I have to worry about bullshit DRM schemes and constant internet connections. Maybe they'll remove it in an update?

Oh yeah, wanna know another botch caused by the DRM?
If you pre-ordered the game on Steam, you got a bonus emulated copy of Sonic 1, which is considered pointless because that's like £1 so mot Sonic fans have it, or some kind of copy of Sonic 1 anyway.
Except the day they gave people the Sonic 1 copy is the day the clock started on the 2 week Steam return window, so now noone can return the damn game!

Shit like this is why a lot of people are waiting for a cracked copy or a GOG release.
Well done Sega

It like Sega seen this Sonic game that everyone actually like and figure they need to somehow mess it up because dear god we can't have a Sonic game in 2017 without some bullshit attach to it.

f*** THE BLUE SPHERES. Just needed to get that out of my system. I used to be pretty decent at it when I was a kid playing Sonic 3. Not anymore

Not anymore I don't know whether it's the 60 FPS or something with the game engine, but Blue Spheres in Sonic Mania hurts my eyes so much. It's fun, but keeping track of where Sonic is as it gets faster is a lot more difficult.
