So sad. I've been dreaming of a Justice League Movie since I was a kid and I could not care less.

I'd actually hold her opinion highly if she had a larger role in the film or if Cavill, Gadot, or Simmons states something like this. Either way I am still going to be there opening night as will be most of the skeptics.

I mean...it would be like asking the guy who got killed by the raptor at the start of Jurassic Park if he thought it would be better than Jaws. Also - the question of "will it be better than ______" is kind of a stupid question to begin with.

Why should I hold her opinion as the gospel when she's likely to have a very limited to no role within the spectrum of the film? Now as I said, if it was Cavill, Affleck, Gadot, or Simmons who said this then I'd be somewhat concerned.

But to dismiss her opinion simply because she isn't the star seems like an odd place to start debating the critique.

I'd much rather hear them say stuff like it won't be better than the Avengers rather than like hte f*** Marvel chants the Suicide Squad director lead.
At least one shows they are aware of the situation they are in... granted the better way would be to just not answer the question altogether but still.
and comparisons are going to happen. Marvel is the king of the hill and the plot synopsis of Justice League is pretty much verbatim the plot to the Avengers.

Also joke time.
How do we know she's a minor character? She is pretty much single-handedly responsible for Batman and Superman to realize they were best friends in BVS.

I mean, she still has a role in a blockbuster superhero movie and has probably still seen the script. I think her opinion has more weight than the interns in charge of getting coffee. And hey, who knows; maybe they've got something special here and want to lower expectations. DC has had a string of garbage movies, but they've got to get one right, surely.

Coffee is the lifeblood of movie sets. If an intern is in charge of getting coffee they probably know EVERYTHING about what's going on in that movie. haha!

To be fair, Avengers was the culmination of 4 years of build/investment and something we had never seen on screen before in terms of comic movie world building.
In a lot of ways, it was the apex moment of superhero films. It's tough to recapture that.
I just hope JL is good

I guess what I am getting at is that it seems like every article regarding the DECU is a negative one. You have reporters who are obviously allowed to ask questions, research, and post their findings. But when it comes to "Will Justice League be better than the Avengers?" and you post a gif of Chris Evans laughing. Why add fuel to the fire? Why jump to conclusions as if it's the gospel? Why not just wait until November?
If the film sucks then so be it, but this whole Marvel vs. DC rivalry is just stale and ridiculous. Why can't us fans just be happy that we're getting Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, Thor, and Justice League this year. Then with Infinity War, Black Panther, Ant-Man and The Wasp, and Infinity War sequel. It's a great time to be a comic book fan overall.

Most of Marvel is canned coke but it's mainly entertaining but I'm amazed at how much the DCCU has shit the show so far. BVS, Suicide Squad...and things are looking grim for Wonder Woman and Justice League. But I'll be the first to give them props if they get it right.

How exactly are things looking grim for Wonder Woman and Justice League? Just because of a few negative articles from journalists with an obvious bias?
