I personally liked the footage a lot for what it was. It's probably like, 3% of what Justice League is actually going to be when it's finished, but the change in tone is MUCH appreciated.

I'm actually somewhat underwhelmed by the trailer. For one, it looks and sounds like an Expendables movie. In addition, there's no sense of scope, of the epicness of Justice League coming together and being formed. It basically looks like a middle aged guy going around the same one warehouse asking people if they want to cosplay with him. It's not really a trailer. The movie just started filming lol. Filming started four months ago. And ok, let's say it's a promo, not a trailer.

The way the buildings were levelled looked more like it than other special effects in other movies. Hm, I've never seen any, or thought there were any similarities or parallels to 9/11. As to B, if you were referring to the widespread destruction of Metropolis, I viewed that as unavoidable. You have two god like creatures in a fight to the death, I would guess that is what it would look like. If nothing else, it was better than the in retrospect underwhelming Superman II fight, where the only damage was to a billboard and a Marlboro truck. Again, the effects they chose made the building collapses look the same way the WTC did. There were no other allegories. As for B, yeah it would, but then there's the "Superman should have tried to get innocent people away from the scene" argument.

I don't even equate movie destruction w 9-11. Sure, it can be evocative I guess, but there are only so many ways a building is gonna look when it falls.

I know some might not want a scene like this. But similar to the first Avengers I hope that there's a big fight scene where we see the members skills/powers individually and it's captured in an epic scope like fashion. I'd love to see the Justice League working as a team taking on Parademons similar to the Avengers against the Chitauri.

As others said before: this is just what they've managed to cobble together thus far based on what they've actually filmed, as the movie is still in production. We're just getting a small sample here, and who even knows how representative it is.
I don't want a tone-copying of Avengers, either, but again, we're working off a very small sample size, here.

and the Avengers themselves were pretty much Marvel's B list heroes under the X-men, Spidey, and even the Fantastic Four. (why do you think those were the ones that were licenced out after all.) Nah, most of the Avengers got licensed out at the same time, too. Outside of Hulk, they just didn't get on a fast track to be made and reverted back to Marvel in short order.

Even Sleepwalker got optioned at that time. Sleepwalker.

Marvel hadda get outta that bankruptcy of '96 somehow. Yeah, selling the movie rights for characters saved them. They don't do that, they're dead, and you know Warner would have been there to scoop up as many properties as they could.

That's fine, so long as it eventually leads to him merging with The Eradicator, returning to True Superman and beating the shit out of Hank Henshaw in Man of Steel 2.

Here's the picture https://www.instagram.com/p/BJI-eYSgRR8 Not liking it if it's his outfit... but the teaser still looks better in tone than anything that DC/WB has put out in years and it could be something like a Superman statue or something.

The corners of the image are also gray, and don't look like part of the outfit. I think that image is just in grayscale.
