That cannot be real. After her Wrester's Rescue stuff, she has zero business calling out anyone.

Mickie James had a classier post on her Facebook about the situation.
Mickie James November 15 at 6:59am ·
Dear Joey Styles, I want you to know that I love you. In the midst of all this ugliness surrounding you at the moment I think it's important you know that. From me and all your friends who you've helped throughout your career. How so many have forgotten that because they'd prefer to jump on the bandwagon to make themselves relevant is sad to say the least. I've known you for many years & you've always been nothing but respectful & loving to me. I've never seen you be disrespectful to any woman in the business. If anything you've always been so supportive & kind. I thank you for that. It's a shame that a JOKE, whether it be in bad taste or not, has been taken so far out of context. I'm curious as to what the lady involved thought of this whole thing. Because if it had been me, I would've popped because I understand comedic context. Call me old school but had you been a comedian, or an actor in a movie, everyone would've laughed. It's only because everyone is tiptoeing in this politically correct, sponsor endorsed, & way overly sensitive generation that it's been blown way out the water. Last I checked this is the wrestling business. A business where we have cursed, endorsed sexuality to all kinds of extremes, kissed asses, and even murdered on live tv, that a little political joke seems to be the least of offensive things done. I understand we are in a new era but for goodness sake let's not lose our sense of humor, or the sight of why we all fell in love with this business in the 1st place. That is to be a character, that can do and say things they would never do or say in real life. Because it's acting! Also, for all your "Friends" who have jumped on the bandwagon now that you've been "Fired", also a complete joke because you CAN NOT fire an independent contractor, they should be ashamed of themselves. Yes they have a right to their own opinion but we should also remember... people in Glass Houses shouldn't throw stones. That means pretty much everyone in this business as it's one of the dirtiest games ever played. That's my 2 cents... and it's worth exactly what you paid for it... but since everyone else seems to feel so important to throw out their public statements then why not. Lastly, I will say this again... I love you, I respect you, and I respect everything you've done for this business that I adore. This too shall pass... Always your Friend, Mickie James-Aldis

Cornette talking about the Joey Styles situation, in the process, tearing apart Chikara and Quackenbush. Language warning is obvious.

Cornette talking about the Joey Styles situation, in the process, tearing apart Chikara and Quackenbush. Language warning is obvious. While I don't agree with his bashing of CHIKARA, I'm on board with his thoughts about the Joey Styles situation. Ppl are acting like Styles assaulted someone. I've seen a lot of reaction and I'll address a few points of interest with my own opinions, just to try and make some sense of some of this. Gabe says he fired Styles for getting political when he asked him not to. Fair enough. I can't fault Gabe there. It was a tasteless joke that wasn't really "political" but I can't blame him when Styles is saying Gabe told him not to right there on the air but he went and did it anyway. This guy that buried him from FloSports that made it look like Styles lied about him being upset sounds like a misunderstanding to me. I think Styles apologized and this guy stated he was more concerned about Thatcher at the moment so I think Styles took it as he didn't seem bothered. Styles should've posted in his statement that he didn't seem upset instead of saying he wasn't. Now that guy has to make an issue of himself being upset to save face at the expense of Styles because he can't afford to upset the ppl that are offended or potentially his business partners to protect his own interests. Understandable, but also unfortunate due to the snowballing effect. CHIKARA decides to release this statement in the face of the situation: "Effective today, we are terminating our relationship with Joey Styles. Effective today, we are instituting a zero tolerance policy for misogynistic, racist, and/or homophobic speech, written or verbal, whether it’s directed toward our cast, our crew, or our patrons. This is the shape of CHIKARA." That policy should've been in place already. In fact, CHIKARA already has a policy about keeping language clean at their shows and the fans there are very respectful. These things in their statement haven't been a problem at CHIKARA. To paint Joey Styles as the reason for this declaration only buries him further. In my opinion, it was a complete overreaction, especially with this incident happening outside of CHIKARA. I agree that ppl have piled on in this situation and I'm not a fan of self righteous lynch mobs that wait to be offended by something and then try to ruin someone's career. I agree with Cornette's take on those types of ppl. Lastly, I don't think this was done entirely for the those that came out of the woodwork with their shovels. It's known that EVOLVE has a working relationship with the WWE and that CHIKARA has some kind of relationship with them now too. I'm sure Beyond Wrestling would like to as well, so I believe they all fell in line to protect those relationships with their reactions to the situation. I understand it, but I think it was executed poorly.

Yeah I agreed with Cornette up until the point he just rants off the rails about Chikara and Quack. At that point, I was like, "Alright, calm down, Jim. Go take your meds before you go all raging Grandpa on us again."

All these wrestlers saying that people shouldn't be jumping on Joey are missing the point.
Styles was asked specifically by his boss to not make a joke. He made the joke anyway. Thus, he was let go because the trust was gone along with potential trust of other employers.
And hey, Jim? You were the guy who slapped a man in the face for laughing at someone you wanted to build as a monster so in terms of overreactions, you pretty much have zero room to judge.

And it is not like that was the first time either. He was fired from WWE for ignoring their wishes, suspended a once, forced to apologize a few times times for ignoring their wishes (usually political stuff as well) and he admitted to doing whatever he wanted in ECW because he knew Paul wouldn't fire him after their first fight in the early 90s. Joey is a screw up and has blown every chance he has gotten, to jump on people for terminating their working arrangements after coming to his rescue for yet another failure on his end shows the massive disconnect between fandom/friendship and good business. Call it whatever you want but these companies looked at Joey, his history and this latest screw up and decided his brand of idiocy and ego was not worth the trouble it'd bring.
