They wouldnt do it, but it would be fun for the 50th anniversary if all of the hosts this season are former cast members (they should at least have some former cast members hosting, I'd love to see another Eddie Murphy episode).

Very nice selections (there better be a duet on October 12, btw!)
I will say, I thought we'd get one full-fledged hosting stint for Maya Rudolph since it was already announced she will be reprising her VP impersonation at least once.

Surprised they didn't get Gosling back for one of the first 5, just to capitalize on the Beavis and Butthead skit as quickly as they can, and so he could be Cornholio.

Kind of related, but starting September 30th the broadcast TV channel TBD will be showing reruns of seasons 4 through 37 of SNL every day.
