So this really was Cecily Strong's last show? I'm sad now.

That full crowd made the whole show a thousand times more electric. All around good showing from Anya. Wouldn't mind seeing her again.

They sounded at times like a drunken bachelorette party that just wanted to scream and whoo at anything. Update was absolutely perfect. Pete showcasing why Lorne puts up with him, Cecily killed it, anx the joke exchange continues to be the highlight of every season. I thought the making man skit had potential but never really got there.

Sounds like Kate, Keenan, and Aidy might also be gone.

Sounds like Kate, Keenan, and Aidy might also be gone. We talked about this the other night, actually. Kate I'd understand moving on, given her trying to break into the movies. Aidy I'd sorely miss if this is true. Kenan of course is a modern icon of the show. I think Pete too could be gone? All in all, a big hit on the roster if it's all true. SNL would have a LOT of rebuilding to do.

It was the best of the season by far. Even if Kenan wasn't always around he should stay on as a cast member emeritus or something. Nobody impacted things in a positive way as much as him.

SNL would have a LOT of rebuilding to do. Sure, but it has to happen sooner or later. I like Kate, but there's really nothing more for her on the show and frankly, she's been overexposed since the '16 election season. Time to see what Chloe and Melissa can do. Aidy kinda had a foot out the door this year, didnt she? Keenan's show is doing alright, from what I gather. Pete.... I like Pete and I loved him in 'Statan Island' but he's kinda a non factor on the show.

Yeah Aidy and Cecily weren't even around for the first month or so because of their shows. Kenan's got picked up but I feel like if he was leaving he would've had a bigger send off just because of how long he's been around. I think Pete's gone. Seems like he's trying to move into movies. I forget what show he was on but he said he's getting tattoos removed too make it easier to be in movies.
Chris Redd was a breakout this year for me and I think next year he'll shine even more.

if Keanan is leaving I feel he would do one last send off season, letting us know before the new season it will be his last, I feel he has been around way too long to get no send off, plus with all the BTS photos from their Instagram his chair is right next to Lorne's in the writers room I feel him leaving would be a major event for the show.

I think Aidy and especially Kate and Kenan would've had some kind of send off if they were leaving.

I think Aidy and especially Kate and Kenan would've had some kind of send off if they were leaving. I know it's been a hot minute since it happened (maybe when Seth left) but this feels like maybe some midseason farewells for these bigger names, especially in front of a crowd.

Come to found out, Billy Crystal had a song in 1985 based off his 'you look marvelous' character from his SNL tenure. An actual song that was an actual single that actually charted on Billboard!

Was wondering, if Will Ferrell came back to host, would it be in poor taste to do "Afterlife Celebrity Jeopardy" sketch (although if they did such a thing, I'd rather have it be animated or pre-taped so they could also throw in Will's Harry Carey)?

After Joan Rivers passed, they did a celebrity roast sketch with Sarah Silverman as Joan roasting dead celebrities in heaven. I think the writers would make it tasteful with a touching moment I'm sure. They'd need to get Norm to come in for Burt Reynolds, too.
