Was wondering, if Will Ferrell came back to host, would it be in poor taste to do "Afterlife Celebrity Jeopardy" sketch (although if they did such a thing, I'd rather have it be animated or pre-taped so they could also throw in Will's Harry Carey)? After Joan Rivers passed, they did a celebrity roast sketch with Sarah Silverman as Joan roasting dead celebrities in heaven. I think the writers would make it tasteful with a touching moment I'm sure. They'd need to get Norm to come in for Burt Reynolds, too. No doubt they'd make it tasteful, and Trebek did make an appearance on the final one and admitted he was a big fan of them. I don't think they'd do anything that would be tasteless.

I wasn't the biggest fan of Horatio's SNL tenure, but I adored his appearances on CBB and Improv4Humans, and I called in to his podcast one time (Hooray Show). Ugh, this is devastating.

With the new season coming, are we going to get news soon on departing, promoted and new cast members? We found out about Leslie leaving and Kate staying in August '19, for reference.

Over this past weekend, the 73rd Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards were held. This is where most of the technical and guest actor Emmys are given out.
Dave Chappelle won Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his stint hosting SNL (deserved just for that iconic monologue).
Maya Rudolph won Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for the time she hosted SNL (which I personally didn't care for).
Don Roy King won Outstanding Direction for a Variety Series for the Chappelle episode.
Maya's episode also won Outstanding Hairstyling for a Variety, Nonfiction, or Reality Program.
SNL won Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Variety Series for the Adele-hosted episode.
SNL also won Outstanding Contemporary Makeup for a Variety, Nonfiction, or Reality Program for Elon Musk's episode (I guess you could insert a picture of Elon dressed as Wario here).
SNL also took home the Outstanding Production Design for a Variety, Reality, or Competition Series Emmy for Kristen Wiig's episode.
The show is still up for some of the major awards, the ceremony for which will be held on September 19th!

So this weekend, they going to do anything to honor Norm McDonald. like reair his 1999 host episode, or how about 90 minutes the Best of Norm McDonald Weekend Update, I would sign for that.

You could easily do a best of Norm even with only one Weekend Update shown, he had plenty of memorable sketches like the Bob Dole sketches, the Larry King promos, The Burt Reynolds sketches (they need to show the 30th anniversary of Smokey and the Bandit sketch, its nowhere on streaming due to rights issues), the bear pit sketch, etc.

(I hope he will be reprising his Biden impression that night.) Also, I hope some sort of interaction between Rami Malek and Pete Davidson occurs.

Better Kim than her soon-to-be ex-husband at least.
