In TNA, No. He was either the cocky young heel or the one we all remember lil naitch. He was never this good on the mic either. He finally found his "A look" at the end of TNA and he's worked on his all around game in those 2 years after he left TNA. He came in with the mindset to show he belongs and hes gone way past for him m what yoy what you even thought he would be at this point. He was a heel in the Christian Coalition. Played it like a dumb hick. It was awesome but a lot of people didn't like it because they thought it was burying him. Right i forgot about that. I remember not liking it at the time because I felt it was "underneath him" and he should be treated better. Which brings up the point of how f***ing long TNA kept treating AJ as this up and coming star for a very long time even until the day he left. TNA says he's an up and coming star while WWE says nah bruh he is a star

Obviously nowhere near where he's at now, but as talented as he was he was bland as all f*** until the Christian Coalition run. However, he's really turned it up since leaving TNA, and can hang with damn near anybody on the mic. Definitely seems a lot more comfortable as a heel then as a face.

I don't disagree, as a all aroUnd performer he grew from that. I think AJ was just as excellent as a face in WWE as much as he is a heel now. He's able to show more charisma threw his words and act differently hence the antics such as Im going to beat up John Cena. AJ has a lot of personality, I want him to do his nature hoot(ric flair voice) on TV it's gold

His heel turn was played at just the right time. He'd have become stale and generic if he were still a face by now. I really like his character and it creates so many possibilities going forward.

I'm expecting Styles to start collecting parts of wrestlers' gear after winning more PPV matches against them until he's nearly covered up. He's like a wrestling Buffalo Bill.

Why is Dolph Ziggler taking a dump in the middle of the SmackDown locker room? Being forced to take a shit while your fellow wrestlers watch sounds like some weird punishment that gets handed down in Wrestlers Court. Eh, these guys already change and shower in front of each other so I assume shitting in front of other people is something that they "sucked it up and got over it" in the early years of their careers.

I really had never seen much of Styles until he came to WWE but damn his promos and heel work have been great. Good to have another fun heel that's actually a threat.

I don't know how many people heard about it, but AJ's skills goes beyond what I thought he had. It's like Jay Lethal imitated classic Flair and AJ imitates modern/current Flair.

Hard to believe that they wouldn't even let him talk for the first few months.

Until he came to WWE, I never saw the fascination with AJ. But he has been amazing since day one in the Rumble and on Smackdown this week he was one of the most mesmerising characters I have ever seen.

It almost feels like Smackdown has an unfair advantage because they have AJ.
This guy is just ridiculous.

Can we talk about how Baron Corbin has the look of screw you Dolph, like he would be AJ's bodyguard
