Can we talk about how Baron Corbin has the look of screw you Dolph, like he would be AJ's bodyguard You know what, Corbin as AJ's bodyguard could be great for Corbin's career in long term. I would totally buy Corbin as the newest member of The Club.

Does anyone think that AJ's improved a bit on his promo work? His accent didn't sound as thick in the last promo I saw.

Might just be me being used to living in the South since I was born but he was Southern as hell. That's one of the first things I noticed. If anything his viciousness is what helped his voice.

He puts more viciousness in his voice and tries to take a little off his accent because if you hear him talk normal he has that major southern drawl. I never thought AJ would be able cut promos and be as convincing as he's been if you would of asked me this only 5 years ago.

Being forced to take a shit while your fellow wrestlers watch sounds like some weird punishment that gets handed down in Wrestlers Court. Eh, these guys already change and shower in front of each other so I assume shitting in front of other people is something that they "sucked it up and got over it" in the early years of their careers. The military was known for having rows of toilets without partitions or doors. Probably to pick out the guys who sit when they pee. (Ziggler seems like the type.)

Ohhhh, Hoot is AJ Styles? I was wondering, Samoa Joe tweeted about a Good Brothering session with Hoot over the weekend and I couldn't figure out who he was talking about. Yea Hoot is AJ, as said earlier his Ric Flair impression of the old man version is beyond hilarious. AJ is a complete beast right now with momentum through the roof. When you can get a good match out of Dolph after he looked like a chump against Dean you are doing good Sorry to jack the thread... Do you know why they call AJ Hoot?

He's not called Hoot per se, he has a persona called Nature Hoot which is a great damn impression of Ric Flair. I would say listen to the talk is Jericho podcast from like a little over a month ago where he interviewed the club. Edit: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gYIJpKNPho Found the video on Youtube skip to 45:40 and you will hear Nature Hoot

That Nature Hoot thing is something else. I don't know how many people heard about it, but AJ's skills goes beyond what I thought he had. It's like Jay Lethal imitated classic Flair and AJ imitates modern/current Flair. Yea, Nature Hoot is beyond hilarious. If he had a feud with someone Flair managed it would be hilarious for him to break it out. Then again I want Gallows to do his Stone Cold and Honky Tonk Man impressions on TV It must be all the times he spent with Flair in 2010 as mini-Nature Boy or the times in Fourtunes. I wish they would have had a camera to show all the times Flair and these guys were on the road together in Europe.

It wouldn't make any sense, though. For one, AJ just went out and beat John Cena clean as a sheet. He doesn't need a bodyguard. Second of all, Corbin's entire character is that he hates everyone and doesn't think he should play second fiddle to anyone. Wouldn't make sense to use him as someone's backup.

Their gimmicks fit together and could get good mileage out of Riley borderline obsessing over him while Corbin barely ever acknowledges his existence. Guess you could do that now with, I dunno, some other guy doing nothing, but either way, that's the best way to give Corbin an alley, just someone leaching off him who can get their ass kicked in his place.

Corbin can be the bodyguard AJ hires because he feels he's too great of a wrestler to deal with any of these "peasants" on SD. He can be the "King of SD" after he gains the belt. Ambrose, Orton, Cena, Ziggler, all the major faces would have to tangle with Corbin to get to Styles which helps the match ups. Eventually when Styles loses the belt, Corbin doesn't backstab or betray him horribly, he's just like "well you lost the belt so you can't afford me, I'm done Styles" and walks off. Corbin's about money so it works.

The Rock n Roll Express have nicknames, I believe Ricky Morton is Punky and Robert Gibson is Hoot. Gallows was on some random indy show with them, found this out and got a kick out of it. So the various guys in NJPW got various "hoot" nicknames. Gallows is Big Hoot, Anderson is Famous Hoot, Styles is Phenomenal Hoot and AJ doing a Flair impression is Nature Hoot. That's all from Talk'n'Shop, the podcast they had when still in Japan.

He could be a decent "dragon" for AJ, and maybe could take a loss against whichever face AJ was feuding with in order to keep protecting him. Corbin would obviously be presented as a tier below AJ, but that's kind of the idea. He could be the Club's "second to last boss".
