Ugh! This makes me angry! His run on Detective Comics was one of my favorite runs on a comic. It was such a fun read and made good use out of the ancillary Bat-family characters

REPORT: Publishers Develop Temporary Distribution Solution via ComicHub www.cbr.com/covid-19-diamond-shutdown-comichub-temporary-distribution/Also reported here: Today, The Comic Shops' Direct Market Was Saved bleedingcool.com/comics/today-the-comic-shops-direct-market-was-saved/At least LCSs will be getting some money right now, which will help out Diamond and publishers in the short term, but this solution still seems like a bandage on a bullet hole. And there are some questions that come up such as, will Comixology be able to sell digital issues soon now that this plan is place, will it be able to sell digital issues on the same day as LCSs, and will digital comics on Comixology (finally) be cheaper on day and date release since the ComicHub purchase is basically a promissory to eventually receive a hard copy later, whereas Comixology has never functioned this way? Despite this being the best effort in the shortest amount of time, there is now another middle man who exists in the purchase of single issue comics from LCSs.

Batman: The Adventures Continue was pretty fun. Nothing too complex, a much needed burst of nostalgia...and I love Veronica.

Been diving into the various companies that do Amazon print on demand collections of older PD comics. Saw that Gwandanaland Comics is putting out affordable trades of the Skywald Horror Mood b/w comics.
Since there is really no new comics this week using the time to read some "new to me" comics.

Today's a weird day man.. can't remember the last time a weds date was missed Whenever Diamond started their revised shipping so stores wouldn't get deliveries bumped a day because of a Monday holiday. That long. Mid day yesterday I realized it was NCBD and I didn't have to go the store, and.......dammit it felt refreshing.

'ComicHub' Temporary Distribution System 'Isn't Going Forward' www.newsarama.com/49692-comichub-temporary-distribution-system-isn-t-going-forward.htmlThat was quick. I've reached out to one of my LCSs and requested some OOP books I've had my eye on for a while. I'll contact another tomorrow in the hopes I can buy some stuff before a shelter-in-place decree closes these places semi-permanently. After this push to try to get my stores some cash, I'm going to be conservative with my comics spending until this pandemic is done.

So I’ve finally gotten the House/Powers of X and really enjoying it. I know there were a bunch of series that came out of it, but is anything really key apart from the main x men series?

I would say the adjectiveless X-MEN, written by Hickman, is probably most important of them. I found Hickman's issues of NEW MUTANTS also very enjoyable; they sort of led into the last couple issues of X-MEN too. And IIRC the first few issues of X-FORCE were rather key. The rest......not sure. They're definitely not quite as "out there" as X-spinoffs typically go; instead of the usual "hey let's give ___ a series!" and then it does its own independent thing eventually steering nowhere near any other X-books, the entire line seems pretty tight which is nice for a change.

I enjoyed the RessureXtion era more than what Hickman's doing personally.

Bendis also revealed on Instagram he has written Superman for longer than he intended wouldn't be the first time that's happened to him. I think his Avengers run was probably a good 2 or 3 years longer than he intended, and it shows.
