I enjoyed the RessureXtion era more than what Hickman's doing personally. Bringing back tons of dead mutants and (moreorless) unifying them as being ok with each other has made for a.........more interesting X-Men era than most, I admit. Then again there have been moments where they in general come across as a bunch of assholes (I've seen that stated in some reviews too so I know I'm not alone) which makes them fairly unappealing to read...

It's Morrison all over again. Hickman's a great writer, but this is not what the book needed, I feel. This isn't the kind of thing that's going to really bring in new readers.

As a guy who considers Grant Morrison's run to be the best the book ever had... Yeah I completely agree with you on this one.

Exactly, this feels like something out of Quesada's era, and I do not want to be reminded of that

So there is a theory the X Men are all pod people Well, it's being shown fairly regularly that several of them (including Chuck) absolutely are. So I guess that's.......an out....?

Imagine getting these books. Months, maybe a year or more's worth. Then finding out that the whole time you weren't reading about the characters you thought you were.

So there is a theory the X Men are all pod people They kinda are... since we've seen them literally grown out of the Gold Eggs and had their minds reimplanted into them... but as stated by Joe Neglia and thechase this would end unbelievably poorly if that is the end game for this. It'd be like the Clone Saga backlash but worse... since it wouldn't just be one person that wasn't actually the person we cared about but an entire group of them... Of course as of right now there is no unnecessary side characters taht muddle things and make things make even less sense like Judas Traveler. I know Hickman has stated he wants this to be the new Status Quo for the X-men but... I somehow don't see that sticking... but at the same time I don't see how you exactly go back from where he is... especially when you consider that he has definitely killed off the original team... That said I do have a feeling that Charles is going to turn out to be someone else or controlled by someone else... as the one time I remember him having cerebro off his head they showed he had Blue eyes... when in earlier issues it was shown clearly he had brown.

The last decade plus of Marvel has taken place in an alternate reality created by a deal with the devil. That's really been the only way out-of-character behaviour can be better justified all over the board, not just with the X-Men. The stories you could get from that are plentiful but Marvel are seemingly too stubborn to mine for that kind of gold.

The eye thing could be a simple coloring error - 616's Xavier officially has blue eyes.

Massive psychic powers...and can change his eye color at will to mess with recognition technology.

Hasn't Professor X been renting space in Fantomex's body over the past few years?
