Negative Burn Summer Special 2005-TPB-Image
I use to grab Negative Burn often when Calibur was publishing it. Forgot that Image took it over. But found this b/w tpb cheap. Got a Brian Bolland strip, that is great. And most of the rest of the talent isn't that well known. Filled with piles of great art and some great and some decent stories. One about a Roman platoon getting slaughtered was really good. Worth the 3 bucks I paid for it.
7 outta 10.

Talked a bit about it on last page, but Flashpoint Batman from his run regrets his heel turn now Aah. I probably just tuned it out because I don't give a toss about Flashpoint Batman.

Al Ewing and Joe Bennett's Immortal Hulk will officially end on October 13th with Issue #50. Wasn't my favourite Hulk run, but certainly was the most daring and different the franchise had been in quite some time. It's going to be missed a great deal.

An interview with J.M DeMatties looking back on his acclaimed Harry Osborn saga of the 1990s, and yet an arc that has never been collected in trade-you would think it would be given most of Spencer's Amazing Spider-Man run is a giant love letter to everything this man has written, and it very much informs a great deal of the Kindred saga www.syfy.com/syfywire/spectacular-spider-man-jm-dematteis-interview

Infinite Frontier #3 is out and, well, a lot happened {Spoiler} To summarize it the best I can,
- Barry Allan is on a giant wheel by Psycho Pirate, gathering speed for some kind of plan
- Obsidian and Alan Scott get captured trying to find Jade by the DEO
- The DEO themselves have a healed Hector Hammond in their ranks who managed to capture the Roy Harper Black Lantern (a ring that isn’t even Earth-0 based)
- The ship they’re on gets invaded by a new Infinity Inc, lead by Jade and includes Powergirl, Wildcat, Atom Smasher and Damage.

Amazing Spider-Man#71 {Spoiler}Carlie tries to give BND era Harry a motivational speech, saying his family are counting on him, but Harry tells her there's a part of himself that tells him none of what he thinks about his life is real, or will ever improve. Harry notices the cell door has been opened.
Norman awakens and arranges a meeting with a lawyer, who shows him Mendell Stromm's video will, Stromm instructs Norman to use a key and travel to Europe to face his 'legacy', or rather his 'sin' according to Kindred. It's time to retcon Sins Past I reckon.
As Peter takes a beating from the Sinister Six, Mary Jane is transported to Mysterio's old studios, where Beck reveals what happened to him at the end of Kevin Smith's "Guardian Devil", transported to hell and tortured, until Harry Osborn made him a deal. Taking it, Beck was revived around the time Peter's identity was public knowledge, his adventures in the Spider-Men crossover are referenced, and over time Harry stopped communicating with him until recently. Mysterio also reveals to Mary Jane that he was the psychiatrist who helped her get over Harry's death, but MJ barely remembers this, MJ tries to tell Beck he's changed, but Mysterio says it's time for his grand entrance and leaves her to Kindred

I've been listening to Peter David's recent podcast interview with the Crawlspace website and he talks a bit about a story he pitched involving Jonah Jameson dying and Wilson Fisk taking over the Bugle, supplying Peter and company with healthcare benefits, which would give Peter a moral challenge, stick with the perks, or be loyal to the people affected by the cons of Fisk's takeover. Editorial turned it down.
