{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} I thought it was Annie Parker that was possibly erased when they made the deal? Wasn’t May the baby that was thought to be born dead and taken by Norman? {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Yeah, it's never been clear whether or not Mayday was miscarried or kidnapped. MJ absolutely believes her baby died, but we saw that the doctors were working for Norman and took the baby (or the baby's remains) to Norman and that was the last of it. It was followed up on in the alt. universe Spider-Girl which revealed Kaine ultimately tracked the baby to Europe, rescued her, and took her back to her parents.
Fans have always preferred to believe she's still alive and out there.
The daughter in this issue is also wearing Mayday's outfit (itself a variation of Ben Reilly's suit), where as Annie May wears a different suit in her universe that her mom made.
Actually, I just thought about this...what if the daughter that defeats Mephisto isn't Mayday, but Ben Reily's kid? At the end of the recent issue, they reunited Ben with his lover Elizabeth Tyne, it's entirely possible Marvel might be more willing to let Ben grow as a married Spider with a family than they ever will risk with Peter and MJ (besides alternate universes)
{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} That’s what I’m confused about. Why would Mephisto need to end their marriage and prevent the child from existing when May had already been born and taken by Norman? If that was his goal, why not do it when Mary Jane was actually pregnant back in the 90’s?

Mephisto was retconned by Spencer into already being behind Norman and Harry's instability, Norman was essentially doing the devil's work by abducting Peter's kid. Mephisto and Norman could have raised Mayday into a hellspawn warrior agent (bit like Magix from X-Men)
The child Mephisto wanted rid of was to be Peter and MJ's second child once they overcame the Civil War/public identity fiasco. The Renew Your Vows series saw a version of that child eventually become a living god who could weave new patterns into the web of life and destiny. Why a version of Mephisto never thought of going after Annie there befuddles me, as she's infinitely MORE powerful than Mayday

Amazing Spider-Man#75 {Spoiler}Peter is still reeling from the loss of Harry. He has a nightmare involving Uncle Ben and heads off to the Goddard building to relax and web swing, when he bumps into Ben, who's on a test run for his employees at Beyond. Not wanting Beyond to eavesdrop in case Peter starts talking to him openly about his secrets, Ben flees with Peter in pursuit, with Peter getting more and more hot at him. Ben eventually uses his gadgets to trap Peter and escapes.
Later, Ben tracks Peter down and they have a coffee. Ben admits he is the new Spider-Man and tells Peter Beyond have acquired the rights and licence to use the Spider-Man name after acquiring it as an asset from what remains of Parker Industries. Ben proposes to Peter that together they can do a lot of good with Beyond. Peter tells Ben he can't just ask for a piece of his life like this, Ben says he isn't asking.
Peter goes home to Mary Jane, and they talk about the hurt both are feeling over Harry's loss. MJ urges Peter to take time off, Peter tells her he met up with Ben Reilly, MJ has a bad feeling about him.
Eventually, the U-Foes attack Empire State University, both Spider-Men battle them, until one of them releases a radio-volatile gas explosion. Ben's suit protects him, but Peter is not so fortunate and is poisoned. Tom King's story for the Wonder Woman 80th anniversary special once more touched on the Superwonder pairing {Spoiler}There is a nod to Diana's mod era where she was powerless. She and Clark are set up on a blind date by Lois (this is before she found out Clark was Superman) and go out for the night, Diana tells Clark that a relationship between them, while a nice notion, would never truly feel 'real' and they're better off as friends. She's a free spirit, and he's more or less a cop

That's like the first thing they've done with Jon I approve of since they stupidly aged him up.

Seems like a rush-job to me. At least when Tim came out, they put him with an established friend from his era. Jon's only known this kid exclusively for what...three issues so far?

Jon coming out is a major headline on the BBC's lunchtime news.
Here's Action Comics writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson's response (replying to an Arizona senator who thought they were turning Clark gay)

People screamed about how awful DC was for killing Dick Grayson when Jason Todd died

Amazing Spider-Man#76 {Spoiler}Peter's in a bad way due to the poisoning, MJ and Aunt May are summoned by Ben posing as Peter over the phone. Aunt May is less convinced than MJ that he's Peter, but goes anyway. MJ and Peter lie to May to cover up the real reason he was attacked, saying he got caught up in the U-Foe assault while visiting Doctor Connors. Ben arrives and tells Peter he's not good with asking for things, so claims his 'therapist' (Doctor Kafka), but now he feels compelled to try. Peter gives Ben his blessing to be Spider-Man. When Ben departs, Peter tells MJ he wanted to wait until he was out of earshot and sight before confessing that he can't feel anything in his body. He goes into convulsions and doctors scramble to stabilise him, but they appear to be losing him. Ben in the meantime suits up and confronts the U-Foes as Spider-Man One other thing that will get people talking {Spoiler}MJ appears to be wearing the engagement ring

Immortal Hulk also ended today. {Spoiler}Reintegrating the Hulks into Banner off-panel and a quick wrap up could have been spread out across a couple of more pages, but eh. Leader appears to be normal and isn't all-knowing, and Bruce has forgotten everything that has happened...but what of the Hulks? Did they forget too? Will we ever find out? I doubt Cates is smart enough to try following that.
And a 'lonely man' ending for the Bixbybros

And a 'lonely man' ending for the Bixbybros ouch seems pretty harsh considering he had the best run on Venom

I’m liking the last couple Spidey issues even though I usually hate when they replace Peter. Not sure if it’s because the issues are legit good or I’m just so glad that we’re finally done with Kindred that I’d be loving anything else right now.
