Rumours are Nick Spencer is in talks to return to Marvel Too bad he can’t come back to Spider-Man anytime soon. Yeah, I heard he wants to go back to Iron Man (he previously did the 2.0 storyline)

Today I learned that Jack of Hearts was still a virgin…until today’s issue of She-Hulk that is.

Spider-Man 60th Anniversary Panel at D23 was mainly a run down of significant moments in Spider-Man history hosted by Nick Lowe and CB Cebulski.
They talked a bit about the urban myths surrounding Stan's involvement in Gwen's death (he knew before heading off for Vacation), Lowe got the name of MJ's wedding dress designer wrong ("Willie BROWN", ugh), Cebulski regards the marriage as a long-lived phase of Peter's life where he was at his happiest. OMD is briefly mentioned as a lightning rod for debates that rage on to this day, and that the internet should not be trusted when it comes to the reception of Superior Spider-Man.

To continue the never-ending Spider-Man chat, Cartoonist Kayfabe (Ed Piskor and Jim Rugg) just dropped this video of a 90s story that I remember quite fondly. I used to own parts four through six.

One of my finest memories of Spider-Man were the two Sinister Six stores in the 90s. I remember going 'owch' when Sandman dealt with Doc Ock in the end

I don't remember if I was reading Spider-Man and then I naturally spun to other characters with books at the time, or vice versa, but the covers to the Round Robin storyline stick out because early 90s Mark Bagley is my Spider-Man artist.
I was so into Darkhawk, Deathlok, and Sleepwalker at the time. And all the issues from the first three Venom minis.
And since I bought comics from grocery and convenience stores, I wasn't able to collect all the issues from Maximum Carnage.
But I can't see myself ever jumping back into Spider-Man unless it's something with a hook like Life Story.
I'm still trying to will into existence a Sleepwalker book that becomes Marvel's version of Gaiman's Sandman. Some day!

Marvel really botched Life Story, had Zdarsky got his wish of devoting one maxi series for each of the decades it would have probably made him the top Spidey writer in the industry instead of giving him just one incredible year of content (which included Spider's Shadow) and could have led to a Marvel universe that could rival and probably eclipse the Ultimate Universe also.
Hell, Zdarsky would probably not already be dipping one foot in the DC pool if he had more to do over there.

My apologies in advance, but this thread is being bumped for more Spider-Man coverage All of this week's edition of Amazing Spider-Man leaked out onto the internet today {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Looks as though my theories about MJ being in a controlling relationship with Paul and the kids might have an air of truth to them. Upon being rescued, Peter offers to talk to her but she says she can't do that, Peter challenges her on her feelings for Paul and MJ tells Peter this isn't about him it's about the responsibility and walks away

I call BS on that last line. ... wait are people against the superior spiderman run, because I thought it was great. It's in reference to the amount of death threats Dan Slott and the company received over Peter being 'killed' in his 50th anniversary issue and replaced by Doc Ock. People were livid with the concept, and then the series launched and general consensus is that it's probably the best thing Slott ever wrote for the franchise and the book was a best-seller. Not me though, I thought it was garbage then, and still do now.

I call BS on that last line. ... wait are people against the superior spiderman run, because I thought it was great. You thought a story where they turned Doctor Octopus into a pervert and a creep that invaded Peter’s memories so he could jerk off to Mary Jane/use Peter’s body to constantly lie to and try to have sex with her was great?

What else could she be talking about but the kids?
As much as I don’t like either option, it sounds like she either cheated on Peter with Paul during the six months and his kids got super attached and now she feels it’s her responsibility not to abandon them or those really are her kids and she’s been keeping them secret from Peter “Her true love” this whole time, turning this into Sins Past part 2.
Either one doesn’t really make Mary Jane a good or trustworthy person.

Either one doesn’t really make Mary Jane a good or trustworthy person. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}I'm leaning more on the kids having been a mistake MJ made years ago too. She doesn't really want to be with Paul, but he's pressuring her into a relationship with the kids and doesn't want them endangered by associating with Peter, we know from that flashback he's a violent man so MJ obviously doesn't want him near Peter and vice versa.
It would suck, but Wells has said nothing permanent will stick with the characters in his run. We don't know how the being made of light figures into it also, could all just be reality shifting going on. This will all be walked back on. Hell there already IS an 'out' for MJ if they want to take it ( the gap in between the last issue of her solo series and Last Remains...how do we know the MJ that returned is the real one? The other one could still be out on witness protection and this is a clone just as Post-OMD Harry was)
