Marvel do have a few happy marriages at the moment, Alicia and Ben, Matt and Electra (kind of, book's still grimdark), Luke and Jessica, Reed and Sue (as always), Rogue and Gambit, and Jean and Scott (though they had a near seventeen year break), you can technically count Peter and MJ too if you take all the alternate universes into consideration.

Action Comics#1050 {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Lex uses a combination of Manchester Black's abilities and technology from Jon's nemesis Bendix to initiate Project Blackout, a telekinetic pulse wave that affects anyone with knowledge of Superman and Jon's public identities. Black is killed when the pulsar envelops the planet.
Lois, Jon's boyfriend Jay and Clark's parents are safe from the pulsar due to special shielding in the Kent Farm, the Justice League also have failsafes and are protected. Anyone who makes the connection between Clark and Superman or Jon with him, won't be able to properly process the information and will suffer anything from a stroke to brain death. Perry White is the first victim as he suffers a mild heart attack visiting the Kents and is taken to hospital.
Clark is summoned to Lexcorp by Luthor, who tells him he wishes to fashion Clark into a God for the people of the world, but he knows he cannot walk amongst them and share his secrets so he has taken the secrets from them. Lex suits up in battle armour and the rest of the issue is largely Clark and Lex duking it out. During the battle, Lex reminds Clark how lucky he is that he didn't take his marriage away (take that Marvel), that Jon in general is 'questionable' (take that DC editorial) and that he and Clark were friends in Smallville as kids (somebody saaaaaaaaaaaaaave me). Clark eventually uses his now enhanced powers to get the better of Lex and locks him up.
Afterwards, Batman tries to convince Clark the world forgetting can be seen as a positive thing, Clark worries about how it's affecting Jon, but Jon doesn't apparently give two cents and thinks the set-up is perfect for him

It's what Marvel pulled with OMD only without any devil-dealing or marriage erasure (I point out in my summary that there's even shade thrown at that story in this), but this actually has it's roots in an old pitch Waid, Grant Morrison and a few others gave to DC back when they were seriously considering ending Clark and Lois' relationship. Lois would be infected with a virus devised by Luthor and Brainiac that would kill her if she had the memory of Clark's identity or her love for him so Clark makes a deal with that Imp from the Fifth Dimension to erase their time together. If I recall, DC hated the pitch so much they blacklisted Waid at the time. Waid's back at DC now, and appears to be the brand's chief of creative, and all of a sudden a variation of this original pitch is used to put Clark's identity back in the bottle, only Waid's since learned nobody ought to mess with the marriage.

hit up a near by antique mall. Not many comics. But did grab 2.
2001 issue 2-Anytime i see any issue of this series in ok shape and under 10 bucks I grab it.
Amazing Adventures issue 19-Part of the Killraven run. Have the essential TPB but nice to have it in color.
Was IIRC 4 for Kill raven and 5 for 2001. But the cashier tells me "I'm tired of seeing that ugly cover" points at the JACK KIRBY art on 2001 issue 2 and tells me "Gimme 4 for both of them." OK not gonna argue.
But cheap Kirby that will never be reprinted, yea can;t pass that up.

Then today hit up the two antique malls in town, which are owned by same dude and next to each other.
One had 3 booths with comics. One of which was packed with Image,Impact and Harris GLUT era books that any comic shop has in the dollar bins, but this booth was asking 5 to 25 an issue. No rhyme or reason to their pricing. Another I found 2 issues of DC's horror anthology Ghosts for a buck each. Both reader copies.
That plus a dvd get put out in the car. Found Moonlighting and a Shakira Concert DVD and CD set for a buck outside the other antique mall. Go in and the normal booth of comics had it's tub of DC and CHarlton War titles and piles of Richie Rich stuff.
Grabbed
Thundercats #14 Star Comix run-Need this for my run of this. Sgt Rock-early 80s issue but Joe Kubert did the cover and all teh interiors!! GI Combat-One of the DOLLAR Comics era,has a Haunted Tank story and a NINJA story!! The Terminator #4-The NOW Comics run, which was the first Terminator in comics.
These were also a buck, pretty sure the booth at the other place with the GHOSTS issues is the same dude.
Then for 2 bucks a 1967 issue of Our Army at War starring SGT ROCK!! Great cover with ath DC checkerbox stuff above the logo. Fightin Army-Charlton War comic, has a pile of Korean war stories. But this issue is best know for being early work from Don Perlin and some non Peacemaker work from Pat Boyette.

Comicbook.com took a major league ratio beating for naming Amazing Spider-Man the best book of the year. Even people who shill the run don't think it deserved it.

Zeb Wells is officially credited as one of the four writers for The Marvels.

Zeb Wells is officially credited as one of the four writers for The Marvels. Why? Why not? Lots of comics writers work in TV and movies.

Zeb Wells is officially credited as one of the four writers for The Marvels. Why? Why not? Lots of comics writers work in TV and movies. Wells is writing the current Amazing Spider-Man run, one of the most putrid runs of the character I’ve seen in my 34 years of reading Spider-Man. Not to mention he wrote one of the worst episodes of She-Hulk. He’s a horrible writer and he’d be more suited writing for a small town tabloid paper, not a hundred million dollar MCU film.

I mean, that didn’t really answer their question.

5 years old or almost 50 years old Joe Kubert art on SGT Rock comics is still one of the best things ever.
