Yep Doc Ock was full on Beholder. He had multiple eyes to roll. and since Ben is the one creating it... it makes sense cause he's (and Pete) are big old dorks <_< RekRap the web whanger was just fun too. I haven't read the X or Venom parts, but the Spidey stuff is much more light hearted than I expected, especially since original Inferno was pretty dour.

X-Men tie in had some fun moments like Firestorm and Ice Man taking on a Christmas Tree. Or what might be the most evil way to subdue Cyclops so he won’t escape {Spoiler} Tie him up, force him to look straight ahead, remove his visor and place puppies in front of him

Yeah, I don't get it either, part of me even thinks this 'praise' for Dark Web isn't even real and it's just to get back at us for constantly bitching about the state of the Spider-Man books in this thread, but I can't obviously prove that, rofl. Just seems sus is all. Like I said earlier, sales for this event have been very soft per the retailer information and the online reception is going nuclear with negativity. Everyone knows Dark Web's written by wank pheasants and we'll always let this thread know it, but others can also think differently, and that's OK. They're still in the minority.

Picked up the first volume of Venom by Cates for half price at the shop this wkend as well. Would doubt I'd ever get the entire run of 200 issues, but I did like that first ish and will give he and Stegman credit for introducing stuff to the history of the symbiote history like Knull that will undoubtedly stick around now.
Always cool when creators can legitimately add something to a character.

No surprise, Comics Elite had Dark Web's finale on "worst of the week", this book is not one for critical thinkers. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Limbo becomes a New York embassy, Kamala does more than Peter (and Eddie over in Venom), Ben ends up in Limbo prison, and there's a time skip to Spring. Despite being in limbo also over in their own book, MJ and Black Cat neither appear or are mentioned

I’m still disappointed as hell they’re going with Thunderbolts as a Black Widow sequel instead of having Ross unleash Zemo and a bunch of his fellow Raft inmates as heroes in the wake of the Avengers not being a thing for a bit after Endgame.

Dark Web finale {Spoiler}Maddie and company dethrone King Chasm and Limbo becomes a New York Embassy. Ben ends up in prison in Limbo and refuses Peter's help Nick Lowe appears to be stuck on a loop over on Twitter, responding to every dissatisfied customers comments with "sorry you didn't like the book, have a nice day" Also other people are constantly sending him examples of Peter pirating things in prior stories to counter his "Peter wouldn't steal comics" argument. Delicious.

I honestly think the Moon Knight book is the best thing Marvel's putting out right now by a country mile.

Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty might be the best series for Cap since the Brubaker era. Just some great comics.

An Avengers vs. Masters of Evil, made up of the still alive villains from the previous movies, story between Ultron and Civil War would have been a good set-up. Zemo is the behind-the-scenes guy of the MoE, then you reveal him in Civil War, go full baron mode with him in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, then you could sell him as Citizen V in a Thunderbolts movie.

Thing is they could have done Thunderbolts as a three part series with all three leaders like the comics, (Zemo, Winter Soldier, Hawkeye) and Val could have had the Dark Avengers in their own movie and eventually both teams could collide…possibly in the last T-Bolts movie. It’s like they decided to cram both into one project. (US Agent, Abomination, Hercules, Yelena Widow, Justin Hammer and either new Hawkeye or Bullseye as the last member.)

I'm still interested in the show/movie, because the T-Bolts are consistently some of my favorite Marvel books, but a Thunderbolts team without Moonstone doesn't feel right.

Actually grabbed a Marvel comic the other day,Well two actually. One vendor had What if vol 2 issue 49(what if the silver surfer kept the infinity gauntlet) for a buck. Then another in his tub of war comics and richie rich stuff had Sgt Fuery and the Howling Commandos #150(which reprints issue 55) Then grabbed yesterday and two a big stack of 80s Charlton war comics. That was the issue on top the bin and I just loved the cover. Oh yea got a DC comic, issue of Weird War Tales with some army guys vs a Wooly Mammoth on the cover. Turns out one of the Charlton Fightin Army issues,166 I think it is,has a story drawn by Steve Ditko!!

at least this mystery box of why everyone hates heroes that have saved the world multiple times seems like it has an answer before writing <_<
