JMS confirmed on twitter he's leaving Captain America. December is his last issue.
Also says the Spider-Man/Doc Ock story he's doing in June is a 'cover' for something 'much bigger'

kinda wonder what's next for Cap since the "secret conspiracy that runs the world" angle and the "secret supernatural conspiracy" tory JMS was doing didn't really stick around.

Manu Larcenet's adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's novel The Road was.... Ok.
The artwork was very good, but it made me appreciate how much of the novel's power comes from McCarthy's language.
Story also loses a lot by not having The Man's internal monologue. Makes him a less human and interesting character.
But, I still enjoyed it.

Lee and Loeb's takeover of the Batman comics in March 2025 is official per NYCC. It's a sequel to Hush. Sometimes it feels like I am the only one found HUSH to be crap. Lee's art aside,not a fan of it,the story felt like something I would have written when I was 12 and bored in 4th period study hall. Heard all the praise for HUSH. So one Xmas got the 2 tpbs that make up the run. Few nights later at work read it and was like "Wait this is what got all that praise?" Thought ok give it another read. Waited a few weeks re-read it and felt the same. Still it got a huge fanbase that I am sure is happy to get more. |

You get many of the major villains. You get very legible art and visual storytelling. The mystery mostly sustains the story (although I don't think the Clayface/Jason stuff really works). It's perhaps the best of the post-2000 "My First Batman" comics, although maybe The Court of Owls gives it a run for its money. Compared to The Killing Joke, The Dark Knight Returns, Arkham Asylum, Year One, The Long Halloween, Dark Victory, and A Death in the Family, Hush probably has the lowest bar to clear in terms of knowing how to read comics and how to get into DC continuity. |

I loved how the strip handled the marriage. MJ played the field a lot longer, and Peter did try to settle more, he had a strip-exclusive love interest for quite a while in between. As for Felicia's love life, she did date Batroc the Leaper in her former ongoing. And JMS alluded to her dating a cousin of Doc Ock over in Captain America (per a phone call with Peter) |
