So does that mean WWE has first choice on keeping any new material that TNA produces? I'm confused because I thought that selling the library was the death nail.

If that is true, Corgan is a bigger damn fool than I could have expected. Honestly, seems like a good way to go about it. The best way to do anything with TNA right now probably would be dump the tape library, dump its history, and just pretend it's a whole new company that just has the existing infrastructure, TV contracts, and roster.

Can't wait for TNA shows to appear on the Network and Dixie still denies doing business with them.

As long as Dixie is out entirely, I think most people would be perfectly fine with WWE getting the library and Corgan doing his own thing with the company.

Apparently Billy is loved by the wrestlers (paying them tends to do.that though) so him basicaly starting a new company off the tna contracts could be interesting. Who knows who he could bring back with the promise of no Dixie?

If Dixie Carter is out of the picture with Billy Corgan's new company then that company is already off to a good start. It sounds like selling the tape library to the WWE is a sign of Corgan starting a new company with a clean slate.

Even that's not totally fair, since this move is pretty clearly "Buy TNA outright, rebrand it and make its new history (trying to take the TNA stigma away from it)- then as your first order of business, sell the tape library to WWE and use that money to pay off as much outstanding debt as possible to start basically fresh" (which is...well, SMART.) Since even the most doom and gloom people were saying TNA was about $2 million in debt and WWE's apparent first offer was $1.35 million for the library, it's not unlikely Corgan could have counter-priced WWE with "give us $2 million (or the exact number) to wipe out all our debts so I can start fresh"- and from all we've seen of Vince McMahon in the past, he would gladly agree to that price increase for the competition.

This is also presuming Corgan bought Majority first, because I wouldn't put it past Dixie to sell the library, keep that money, THEN sell majority. Also, without further details, Dixie only sold the Majority, so she could very well still be a big part of Corgan's rebranded TNA. I guess I'm just highly skeptical of the intelligence of this deal, like...it looks fine on the surface, but nagging suspicions towards those involved, etc...

Does this mean Billy also purchased TNA's debt?
If he had his eye on any of the talent, Vince may be playing the long game.

It tracks right with the word on how much WWE was offering and how much debt TNA has, the tape library sell would cover a major chunk of it.

I don't believe the wwe getting involved in this mess. I don't buy them buying the video library and letting them continue.

This could also be Dixie and Co. trying to blow smoke up the sheetz's collective asses. We really just don't know enough, or have anything concrete yet. (Also, I'll gladly eat my words if this works out to the positive.)

So basically WWE buys the library (and presumably the name), while Corgan gets to rebuild with the rest. And Ditzy gets the corner office, largely to be ignored.
Sounds like a win-win for all.

It's a smart move by Corgan if the debt he inherited is offset by the selling of the tape library and the TV deal still exists. He will need to do a lot of work to create new revenue streams so they actually resemble a company looking to make money down the road but killing off the debt and rebranding the tainted name is a start.
It does seem like GFW with a TV deal, though.
