Given the current state of both WWE and 2K, I wouldn’t be surprised if 2K22 is the end of the series.

So is NXT in general not going to be in the game anymore? If the real thing is going back to being developmental, then WWE probably doesn't want it featured anymore.

The 2K19 servers are being shut down soon, so if you're still playing it like I am, be sure to download what you can while you still have the chance.

Given the current state of both WWE and 2K, I wouldn’t be surprised if 2K22 is the end of the series. IIRC, the contract between 2K and WWE was renewed until 2025, so unless WWE gets a better offer from someone else to cancel the contract, I can totally see this series limping to the end of that contract, constantly hampered by tech limitations, cut budget, and the ever-present existential threat that is WWE's whims. Of course, this all assumes that WWE will still be either an independent corp or even in business by 2025, and that is... becoming less a reality with every passing day. Feels like WWE should take the series to Activision-Blizzard, they both have very similar outlooks on how to do business. -_-

WWE 2K22 is just gonna be made up of Bluebird variations if it were up to me.

I mean... all I ever used the games for most of the time was Caw mode with my friends...
So who is or isn't in never really mattered much to me >_>
but it is amazing that even with that low bar that 2k20 still failed to clear it by messing with a lot of the online stuff.

Someone with Forbes is claiming the current build of 2K22 is very good and with much better controls, so we'll see how that pans out.

Not having to hold a trigger and five buttons at the same time to do a basic action would be nice at least I guess? If they go back a few games' controls it'll be the SVR classic "we took a thing out to make it a new feature this time"

If they go back a few games' controls it'll be the SVR classic "we took a thing out to make it a new feature this time" I'd just like them to fix the bizarre lingering issue of how every once in awhile these games will just... forget what the current controls are and do something from a few games ago instead. It's insane how often using the right stick in 2K19 will just randomly do a grapple move.

every time they say hte simplified the controls it usually ends up even more complex than last time...
like 2k19's oh to do a finisher hit Y to do the alternate finisher hit Y and a direction...
to 2k20's where you have to hit like 2 buttons to do a finisher and then a third for the alternate...
making me hit more buttons to do a simple thing is not simplifying shit.

If 2K22's not careful, it'll be in Warzone/Attitude territory.

I think 2k20 switched the finisher and reversal buttons, which was a massive pain and a huge reason why I don't play it.

Other weird things about 2k20 I forgot about some moves had like no impact. They guys hit the mat super softly... and others played at like 3 times speed

So uhhhh, it's August and there's like no info on this game.
Kinda getting a little bit of deja vu from 2019.

Coincidentally, I just pulled out 2K20 for the first time in over a year to hunt some trophies since I left so much of the game unfinished as it was, as we all know, unplayable. I almost admire how the internet didn't overstate the badness of the game. Like, no hyperbole, it's abysmal of every level of gameplay. Buggy as heck, wild that they devolved from 2K19 to this so deeply in one year.
