I decided to pick a random show to watch on the Network, and i decided on the 8/4/97 episode of Nitro which is listed as Nitro 99, but it's actually the 100th episode. Anyone else notice this?

Funny enough I was just watching this episode the other day, and that confused me as well. Was it WCW themselves that screwed up the count and accidentally celebrated 1 episode early? Because I couldn't find a numbering discrepancy just leafing through the episodes on the Network.

I just looked this up yesterday because I just passed this episode recently and was very confused. Apparently, WCW was counting the big house show they did shortly before this episode that they called Saturday Nitro. So even though this "episode" never aired and 98% of fans weren't there, they count it as an episode.
In short: Because WCW.

The Simpsons 300th episode, the one promoted as such, was really 302. Fox told them just to lie and say it was 300.

I don't want to excuse somebody of something but I seem to remember the Internet reporting that over the years a lot of the shows that wwe hypes as a special numbered show its not usually correct.I understand Fox lying about the Simpsons but wwe a company and a business built on lies lying disgusts this concerned citizen.
