Never been, but if I were going I'd try to see a wrestling show at the ECW Arena if I could. Sad part is, almost nobody runs shows out of there anymore. CZW is the most common, but its not like there is a show every weekend.

I lived in Philly, and now I live in it suburbs.
You wanna know the cold hard truth?
There is nothing cool to do there. I said it.
Ya, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, whoopty f***in doo. That shit means nothing to me, never has.
The city is filthy, there is homeless people everywhere at night, and I feel dirty every time I use SEPTA (our local rails, busses and subways) There are people "protesting" everywhere, especially in the last three weeks. There is aton, and I do mean metric shit ton, of great places to eat but none of them are more cant miss than the others, and they all are outweighed by a 10:1 ratio of little ethnic shitholes that in no way meet the board of health's codes.
So what is the best part of Philly?
The Franklin Institute, Mudder Museum and Art Museum are fun, and I mean that. The Barcade and Dave & Busters is fun in a way, I guess.
Attending a live Philly sports event is actually something to behold. And the Union dont count. At this point of the year we are talking Flyers and Eagles. You'll see some serious shit at either, some good, some bad, but all of it entertaining. Just dont wear opposing colors, you'll have a bad time.
And finally, the bars. They call us the city of brotherly love because we get drunk. A lot. And not higher than mighty hoighty toighty vodka martinis or expensive, rare wines. f*** no, we are a Joe 12 pack town. We got bars on every corner that have dozens of good beers on tap. We got cheap shots. We even got a special that you can get in every f***ing bar in the city. Its the "City wide" and It'll cost ya $3. Drink up

One of the best things to do in Philadelphia is to have sex. It doesn't have anything to do with Philly itself. It is one of the best things to do no matter where you are.

I will say this, Philadelphia is probably has the highest rate of hot girlfriend/fat boyfriend couples of any city I've ever been to. Don't know I that works in your favor or not.

CZW is the most common, but its not like there is a show every weekend. The last time I was in PHI was years ago trying to get to a show run out of the Arena that was mostly filled with TNA guys (I don't remember the card, but I think Rhyno was in the main event). Welp, something happened with traffic and detours once I was in the city, and I couldn't end up getting there and had to turn around and go home.

Trip starts this Friday! Right now it looks like two of the big things we're doing are the Museum of Art and a Christmas lighting ceremony on Saturday. Might do both the same day, but not sure yet. Also, going to try out a bunch of restaurants! Top ones we definitely want to check out include Mac's Tavern, Buddhakhan, and Rangoon. Since it's three days we might do as many as 9 meals out to try as many things as possible Still, open for suggestions. Probably won't be able to fit the Philly Zoo in, but would definitely love to see that sometime.
