It's a relatively unimportant footnote to the history of the tag team, but during a European tour after Summerslam 1992, Animal had to fulfill some contractual obligations sans Hawk, who had f***ed off to Japan after failing a drug test. During these matches, he teamed with Road Warrior Crush. Do any pics of this team exist? Did Crush modify his look to fit with Animal at all?

Kamala could have as well and for the most part was. Take away his 92 to 93 run where he was more a comedy act, the dude was scary. When he was being booked and use as this savage, you had this big near 400 pound guy who was athletic coming at you wanting to rip your headoff. The guy could been much more. If Kamala was booked more like he was in the 80s in this match, it would be a ME style match that fits.

Davey Boy contended for the majority of the titles in his multiple runs. To be fair, I only really caught Kamala on the tail end of his 80s run, so really only saw him as Hogan fodder. He did look terrifying to 11 year old me, however. It's a shame that his gimmick of being tamed was so poor...

With Kamala, I think it hurt him more to be coming and leaving promotions with a year or so. He always felt he wasn't getting paid well enough. And maybe that is true but really, he could only go so far with the gimmick and he did go as far as one could go staying just a year in a promotion. He could've last several years with WWF during his 84, 87 and 92 runs but left believing he was held back from making more money. I think if he had stayed, he would always have a place on the roster because the character was so cool and unique, there would always be some sort of feud for him.

Kamala was a main eventer pretty much everywhere he went for about five years after adopting the gimmick. Headlined Memphis, Mid-South, World Class

When normally they were lucky to get 100.

I saw the event center backstage promos with them and Crush had his regular attire on. You cant even tell in those pics what attire he has to be honest, Clearly not the neon though
