I've given all of the Conrad podcasts a decent shot. Bruce was fun and exciting at first as it was new and genuinely interesting. However, as soon as both Bruce and Conrad bought into the hype (as well as Bruce getting employed by Impact first then WWE) it all went downhill. Became same old tropes. Tony was always fun to listen to but my podcast listening is always on the road so I can't really enjoy the watch along if it's a show I've never seen. Then a point came along when it became the Conrad and Casio Kid with Tony show and I just tapped out. JR was just JR. There doesn't seem alike anything worth listening to as it's mostly stories all regurgitated via other media. Also the term thimble balls was overused with at least 3 episodes. Eric was also just fine as he is clearly an intelligent man but he always seems to speak like a politician being overly cautious. I just lost interest after a few episodes. Did enjoy the Collision in Korea EP though. Arn was sadly a dud for me. You always hear how dry witted he is but that doesn't translate to a podcast. I'm sure he will be so much more interesting and amusing in person but I quickly lost interest. However Jarrett has been pretty refreshing. He seems pretty genuine despite a few moments so far where he seems to think things were better than they were or how some of his close friends were high caliber talents (Road Dogg was never a main eventer despite selling a lot of merch and I say this as a Road Dogg mark during the Attitude Era). Also, he doesn't have an agenda against Meltzer as he knows journalists have their place in the industry. Fingers crossed that it doesn't go stale within the year once most of the major topics have been covered. No offence to Jeff but another factor of the podcast thats enjoyable is listening to a son of a carnie who grew up to become one. It's a interesting trait of the show when he recollects his childhood watching his dad run the territory.
(Sorry for the long spiel but I listen to a lot of long form podcasts as I drive for a living)

Gonna get a lot of Flack for this. I really dislike Conrad Thompson. Think that might be the majority position on this board. I don’t know him personally, but I like his podcasts.

Yeah, his research is really now just reading the Observer or Torch. It used to have some of that but also pulled some guys books, shoots and the like. Hey, I know he doesn’t have time anymore but I didn’t tell him to create 93 more podcasts a week. He still pulls from books in some of the bio episodes. And I don’t think he does his own research anymore I think the real quality dip isn't seen so much in the bio episodes as it shows when they cover an event that Conrad clearly didn't rewatch and is just going off 15-25 year memory. The research and Bruce's stories paired against them is what made the show standout, without Conrad actually revisiting the stuff they want to revisit, the show loses its luster. Side note, I'm revisiting the 1991 episodes of Superstars and Sherri-Dibiase did quite a bit together and had really good chemistry, especially for Sherri transitioning out of the Macho King valet role and adding another layer to the feud with Piper and Virgil. Much more than Conrad going "why didn't they work" and writing off the whole pairing.

I think he definitely let the success of the podcasts go to his head. I had to give up What Happened When because of how he started phoning it in when he wasn't humble bragging about his wealth.

Hmm I haven’t gotten that impression at all listening to Something to Wrestle, Jarrett’s podcast and Angle’s podcast. Seems exactly the same to me.

Bruce will forever be my favorite podcast because it's Bruce. I find you have to either take it or leave it with Bruce. We get a lot more out of him with Conrad than we ever would have even a few years before he started his podcast. Being employed by WWE has made it more difficult with his schedule and what he can share, but there's no denying the chemistry with Conrad and Bruce. Hopefully the podcast is still there down the road if/when Bruce leaves WWE again.
Last week was The Undertaker's 1998
One thing I really miss is when they had 3-4 show topics and they would let the fans vote.

Ok, what’s the verdict on this guest host this week?

Was last week’s show any good? I hadn’t listened to it due to the holiday weekend?

Ok, what’s the verdict on this guest host this week? I like Conrad, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the pace of the show

I liked Bret Hart's 1993 and the In Your House: International Incident episode's.
Last week was another remix, I guess Bruce is busy. With SummerSlam just a few weeks away, I guess this might be most of August?
I couldn't get into the guest host, Paul Bromwell, t just made me wish for Conrad to be back.

This week was brand new "Ask Bruce Anything" for those that like the rapid fire question and answer episodes.

I haven't listened (for obvious reasons), but today's episode is a 10-hour, 2-part 'Bruce Prichard: In His Own Words' compilation of stories about his career from previous episodes.

Just throwing it out there, in case any on this thread *doesn't* also listen to the Jim Ross podcast, the Summerslam '96 episode from last week is as close to classic STWW that any podcast show has gotten in a long time. Deeply researched and you can tell Jim Ross watched the show before recording.
Even if you aren't a JR fan but love STWW, give this one a shot.

JR doesn’t do his grumpy old man screaming routine does he? He acts like a normal person when asked a simple question?

I'm only at the Bulldog/Sid match, but that's the majority of the show so far and he hasn't screamed yet. Lots of info on the backstage at this time, the bringing in enhancement talent with gimmicks, JJ's departure, etc. I don't want to spoil anything, but it feels very STWW-esqe.

It looks like we're getting an episode on Bam Bam Bigelow tomorrow. I am pretty excited for this one!

It looks like we're getting an episode on Bam Bam Bigelow tomorrow. I am pretty excited for this one! He only HEARD Vince say “this guy could be champion one day” An hour of unhinged Meltzer rants WM11 was an amazing opportunity for him and everyone in the world knew LT I think that’ll cover most of it.

It was better than expected. Bruce was in a really good mood, which always helps. The shows where he's overtired and wants the show to end are the duds. But the Bam Bam episode was enjoyable and worth a listen. I still wish Conrad would go back to doing polls to let listeners decide future episodes.
