Well that was unexpected. Fatherhood must had put him in this movie because this is the first film hes in a as a lead that he isn't creatively involved in since Basketball. And he only signed to do Basketball in case South Park was a bomb and hated doing that film.

Hopefully the Minions wont hog up to much of this movie, and I say this as somebody who actually likes Minions.

Think they're going to spend a bajillion dollars on plastering this all over every square inch of theaters, too? Even Gene Simmons would look at Illumination and think "there are limits to marketing".

Like I said it must be recent fatherhood and I'm sure his kids love Despicable Me like most kids do so wouldn't be cool if your daddy is in Despicable Me? |

Wait what happened to Gru's adopted kids? Yeah I know its a trailer and all that and will most likely be in the movie in some way, but talking about going down the character totem pole from focal point of the first film to seemingly playing fourth banana behind, Trey Parker, Kristin Wiig and the yellow "merchandise merchandise, where the true money from the movie is made" squad.
