I have an htc desire. It was cheap and so I bought it. But it hasnt held up and ita not even been a year yet. I switched from attnt for straight talk. I want a goid phone with great capabilities but since i switched to straight talk i dont have the finance option given to people though providers. Whats a good phone i can buy and add to this straight talk plan?

The easiest way to save money on a new phone is to go with a model that isn't top of the line, but is far from obsolete.
I'm a big iPhone fan. It does everything I need it to. You can get a 6 or a 6s - rather than the new 7 - for a pretty decent price these days.

Straight Talk is GSM, I think, so you have more options. Most of those will be Android, of course... Try a One Plus or Moto G4 Play. That last one's pretty good and retails for under $200, I think. What kind of capabilities are you looking for out of a phone? I know at work (the major carrier that, uh, doesn't use GSM networks), if you want a big screen (like 5.7", a little bigger than the Plus line of iPhones) and good resolution camera, there's the LG Stylo 2 which retails for $240. Dunno if there's a GSM option for that, though I would assume there is.
(invoices work for this time spent on my day off)
