... and vice versa
Watching Adorable Adrian Adonis come out on TNT and at the time, the lifestyle was joked about, and got a lot of heat, but today he would be revered I think and have quite the following.
Others?

At the start of the Million Dollar Man gimmick, to show off his wealth, Ted DiBiase would randomly pick up people's checks in restaurants. How that's supposed to be a heel thing is beyond me.

Others? All depends on how things went down. If Adonis was doing the EXACT same gimmick, then I don't think he would be a face. Now a similar gimmick that would totally have gotten face pops doing the same thing he did then would be Adrian Street. A lot more humor to his version and a lot less obnoxious.

Right, which is how Rico, who was basically a line and verse Adrian Street rip-off, got over as a babyface around 2004.

People would gush over Mr Perfect's workrate all the time and his ability to play the character. He'd definitely be a so-good-they-can't-boo-him type character in the same vein as Cesaro a couple of years back.

Bad News Brown, for his no-nonsense approach. This....This.....a 1000x this. BNB should/would have been a world champ in any other era. I've been on an 80s WWF and JCP era kick lately and how BNB wasn't bigger is criminal. I do'n't mean to disparage the memory of Mr. Tenta but you can't tell me that BNB taking the title in '90 and Hogan fighting back for his dignity or whatever wouldn't have drawn money. Dude had the legit skills and credibility to do it, not to mention that he was over as hell in late 80s to early 90s.

Pretty much any heel would be justified for their actions or tactics nowadays. I'm sure someone out there thinks Jake Robert was justified in slapping Miss Elizabeth or Magnum TA was the baddie because he stuck a sharp piece of wood in Tully's eye.

Rick Rude too I think today, ppl would see thru the bs that was the Ultimate Warrior and see how hard Rick Rude was bumping for him to make him look like the second coming of Jesus Christ, but I wonder what would happen if Bret vs Hennig '91 happened today.

Akeem would be a huge babyface. Big man who is a serious ass kicker who dances to the ring in a non-forced way. Big time babyface.

Kindly explain this "bs" that was the Ultimate Warrior... With respect to the guy's memory, and the amazing job WWE's done at re-spinning a coked up egomaniac as a "legendary hero" post-mortem, Warrior as a wrestler was 95% sizzle, 5% steak. He only had good matches against guys that were leagues better than him.

On the contrary- A guy who's gimmick literally boiled down to "big white guy who pretends he's gone back to his African roots, talks jive, wears dashikis, and thinks he's a black man?" Akeem would go past "still a heel" today, go past "be a BIGGER heel today than he was in 1989", and go right into "he'd be so controversial that the outcry would FORCE WWE to drop the angle immediately and either fire George Gray immediately or have him show up the next week as One Man Gang as if it never happened."

The "ass-kicking dancer" aspect probably would have gotten over, yeah, but since a big part of that gimmick was "white man pretends to be African", the internet would have crucified him. Though, I think it could have worked as a great Mick Foley style gimmick; have him be the dancing goofball most of the time, but then when the heels finally take it too far, have him break out the One Man Gang gear for a night or two and have him completely demolish them.

That guy in the old Memphis territory during the civil rights era who would play up to the Blacks in the segregated audience.
