Wow, that's great. It's kind of sad how boring backstage segments are nowadays compared to any other time in the past when they had them. Every backstage segment now is like an immensely bad TV episode.

That was great. Also holy crap, Lesnar was HUGE back then. Like cartoonishly huge.

Damn that is really well done. I guess you couldn't do it every week with everyone coincidentally appearing spontaneously but it was pretty impressive.

They will do it with crowd members.

I remember that. It had a very ECW style to it. Speaking of, the ECW promo montage (3 minutes, each wrestler got about 20-30 seconds to the backing of Misirlou) worked really well for establishing randomers characters, and WWE should bring that sort of thing back.

Loved that.
I assume it has to do with the lack of planning between shows. Camera work like that would need planning. It also doesn't help that the mentality on RAW is that every one else is meaningless.
Also, despite the flack it gets, I love the way TNA gets around filming backstage segments by having some sneakily listen to conversations. Very smart way to do it!

All of this looks so unnatural; why isn't anyone standing off to the side of a television and turning their head to watch it with their arms crossed?

Who was the writer for SmackDown during this period? Heyman.
Not surprised.
