Smackdown was #10 for the night in cable behind The Have & Have Nots, Curse of Oak Island, Fixer Upper, Hannity, The O’Reilly Factor, The Kelly File, Tucker Carlson, Special Report and The Five. It was #3 in the 18-49 demo, behind The Have & Have Nots and Curse of Oak Island. What the f*** are these shows? Most are news editorial shows.

Shame, because Smackdown was good this week, and Raw was astonishingly shit.
Does Smackdown have any decent competition right now? I know Raw has Monday Night Football to contend with for a sizeable chunk of the year

I'm just going to assume that Megyn Kelly decided to get naked and Fox News spent the night covering it.

from the names I can't figure out which is which Curse of Oak Island is the History show. Haves & Fixer Upper are HGTV. Everything else but Tucker Carlson is Fox News. Oak Island is a show mind you that literally revolve around two guys digging in dirt and finding nothing while the announcer phrases every observation as a life altering question.

I feel Smackdown still has the stigma that it's not important after the past few years really hurt it. It will take time, but if they are consistent with the writing and presentation, I think SD will beat Raw within the year. I expect it to be purged in the next Draft if one happens, but will still succeed in spite of that unless anything big changes about either show. I think that's exactly it. Its reputation is certainly improving, but WWE basically had everyone thinking SmackDown was worthless for quite a while. They're going to have to repair that. I also agree with the belief that SmackDown will be stripped of quite a bit when/if a draft happens. I just don't see Vince being okay with his "A" show being outdone in every way by what he likely sees as a lesser brand.
