The movie theater in "Thriller" (at least the exterior) is the same one as the one used in the "Feel-a-round" segment from Kentucky Fried Movie.

"Rock Me Tonite" was was put on trial for the murder of Billy Squier's career.
The first Grammy won for music videos was actually a collection of them by Michael Nesmith called Elephant Parts in 1981. It led to the early Nickelodeon TV series PopClips, which after Nesmith refused to sell to Warner Bros caused the latter to create MTV.

I forget who, but one of the women in the GN'R entourage didn't know until the November Rain video everyone is meant to stand for the bride. She said everyone sat down during her wedding.
