To Wade Barrett's Megatron?
Wow that does seem like a long time ago. Barrett as the all powerful ruler of Nexus, Otunga as his scheming second in command, eager to double cross Barrett and take control himself.
I know this was definitely brought up here, but does anyone remember WHY? Was there a moment or promo that caught our attention to suggest it might happen?
And has that ever been done in a wrestling faction, where there's a second in command who clearly hates the leader?

Yeah, didn't Otunga show doubt in a backstage segment and from then on he kinda had shady eyes all the time?
Thinking of Nexus is depressing. SO much potential. So much unfulfilled: DB getting fired, Ryback getting hurt, no "biggah pictcha", Cena burying them, Tarver got fired, the C.M Punk fiasco, even the crappy corre stemmed from that giant mess.
Also, wouldn't Nash and Hogan court as a second in command taking over?

The Rock taking over The Nation from Farooq has to qualify.

I guess Punk in the Nexus for that week before he booted out Barrett kinda counts?

I dont how huskey Harris became the most successful of the group Ignoring Punk and Bryan, or Barrett's 5 IC (I think) title reigns.

They for sure had a credible main-event heel in Barrett, but they pissed it away.

Well, Bryan was basically in the "evil" Nexus for just that beatdown night before getting fired and then coming back against them. And Punk was leader of Nexus Light. Or New Nexus. New formula. Not as good.

Heath Slater superior. David Otunga inferior.

As an aside, you know what still annoys me related to Otunga?
He stars in WWE Films' biggest box office success, The Call, one of the few to actually make a profit at the box office (not a massive one but still) and what do they do when they bring him up on TV again?
Feed him to Ryback.
Sure, he's a crappy wrestler and a crappy commentator who has moments at the rate of a really slowly ticking broken watch but he deserved a little better in case you wanted viewers to see him after they saw the movie. Give him a managerial role or something.
It's why I never understood Sheamus' feud with Barrett after his movie role. You're burying a dude who was cast in a small bit role BY YOU IN THE MOVIE YOU FUNDED AND MADE! Like...Christ...

Like, the sole reason 99% of people would actually watch that piece of shit movie is because Wade Barrett is in it, so to advertise "ha ha, Wade's barely in it"... I just.. WHY?

Like, imagine if they mocked Sheamus for his role in the last TMNT movie for how he looked and didn't get approval from the sponsors for it. They'd pretty much lose promotional money. It's not fine just because you own what you're making. It just makes it look second rate.

I dont how huskey Harris became the most successful of the group Technically Heath Slater held the SDLive tag titles longer than Wyatt, and neither has won any other WWE main titles before. So... one man rock band actually beats the tank with a Ferarri engine this time.
