...when he didn't look anywhere near that big?
I know pro wrestler's weights are exaggerated but it was surprising to me as a kid seeing people like Ted Dibiase slamming him with ease. Though an argue net can be made that we were supposed to believe that the wrestlers are that strong but how many times did we see a heel having trouble slamming a wrestler that is as big as Fred Otterman?

Because I think it was assumed that other then for guys like Andre no one paid attention to the numbers. Really the ring announcer said it once while the entrance music was playing and that was it.

It was also mentioned on trading cards and Live Event programs the fact that he weighed 357 lbs. it wasn't until his feud with Nailz that they stopped billing him as 357 pounds.

Probably as a rib to get him to lose weight. They did that with D'Lo & Mark Henry for a long time as well.

In 91 they took his weight loss into account and started announcing him at 337 which was still way bigger then he looked as I don't think he was even 300 during that period.

Predicting the weight of a heavier set man can be hard. Especially if they are wearing a bunch of gear. Like I doubt he was 357lbs but dude was probably 300lbs.

They never re-weighed him? They did, but he insisted on carrying a big stick, a ball and chain too.

I'm thinking only Sami Calahan lost more weight during the prime of his career than did Bossman from '89 - '92!
Does anyone know what he was billed at during this second WWE [Corporation] run?

He must have been around 270ish in 92 if I had to guess

It could be that the .357 was at one time a popular police weapon.
