During the mid-90s (the so-called 'Golden age of Wrestlecrap'), which over-the-top silly wrestling personas did you legit mark out over?
If you're not too sure about the mid-90s, this was a time when wrestling promotions like the WCW (and especially the WWF) made wrestling unbelievable by not allowing their talent to simply be wrestlers. Instead, they paired a lot of their wrestlers with corny, over-the-top personas that were supposed to mirror professionals in the real world (as if it simply wasn't good enough for them to be pro wrestlers).
The ones I legit marked out for:
- Mantaur
- Kwang the Ninja
- The Undertaker
- Techno Team 2000
- Duke 'The Dumpster' Drose (He really started to come out onto his own toward the end of his time in the WWF, during his feud with HHH)

The Goon, mainly because I was happy to see Bill Irwin still getting work.
Second Duke, I thought he could have had a future as a decent second-tier face.
Man Mountain Rock is another. He looked like a bad-ass and they should have let him go as one.

Mantaur, Bastion Booger, does Ludwig Borga count? Basically the entire Dungeon of Doom concept.

I was a fan of Ludwig Borga, especially once I saw a promo in which he went to a farm, pointed at some horse shit, and made an analogy between Lex Luger and horse shit. That guy was hilarious, and he was the kind of environmentalist you could respect because he got results in the real world and his whole life didn't revolve around environmentalist ideals.

I guess IRS, though he wasn't really bad by any means. Rotunda's great.

Even worse than the gimmick was the bloody entrance music of the time that basically described the character to you in the most unsubtle way ever.

Akeem for me....especially because you could tell he really got into the gimmick and had fun with it.
You don't even know how hard many would mark out if "Jive Soul Bro" blasted in the arena, and he came out with Slick again....

Booger was awesome, I still like that gimmick and the man who played the character. Borga was my 2nd favorite wrestler behind Yokozuna, I loved when he beat Tatanka. The Dungeon of Doom started to get interesting after the Hogan feud and they started to have problems with the Horsemen.

For some reason, I always loved Abe "Knuckleball" Schwartz. No idea why, other than I thought he had a really cool look. He was also decently edgy for his time, taking a lot of hard shots at MLB.
Max Moon was my shit, too.
And not a persona, but I still love the Undertaker/Yokozuna finish from RR 94. Had the payoff been better, no one would ever say that finish sucked.

Ludvig Borga looked like a genuine badass, so I had high hopes for him. Alas, it wasn't to be. I also thought that Duke Droese had something about him and would have been interesting to see as a heel.
