They say One Magnificent Morning is this e/i block aimed for younger viewers , but in the hour I watched it(because I didn't really have anything better to do...), I didn't see too many ads aimed at kids or even young teens. I'm not even talking about stuff like junk food or toys. I maybe saw 3 PSAs(including the painfully outdated Alberto Del Rio "WWE superstar" Be a Dad one).
Instead it was mostly stuff like women's cosmetics, some website for women's fashion, Icy Hot, Auto Insurance, Alka Seltzer, pain relievers, etc. This is supposedly an educational block aimed for kids/teen but the ads are mostly stuff that you see on LifeTime. I mean, anti-aging creams and pain medicines? On a block aimed at younger viewers? Seriously? I guess this is supposed to be for the parents... maybe?

Back when I had Retro TV they had a block of old Filmation cartoons from the 80s, but the ads were all for similar stuff like insurance and the like. I understand that they cant afford high-end sponsors, but thats going to turn off any younger viewers (i guess thats why they stuck in the old 60s Dick Tracy show, the one with all the stereotypes, in between shows).

That I can somewhat understand this since they can at least play the nostalgia card. The people who grew up watching these shows are adults now and such. This on the other hand is kinda iffy IMO.

From what i've heard, E/I shos usually cant afford high-end sponsors. This is why back when the big 4 networks had Saturday morning blocks, they'd stick the "educational" shows at the beginning of the block (ie, that Will and Dewitt show from the dying days of Kids WB).
