I'm still hoping if he does show up in the WWE he makes it in time for NXT Takeover Brooklyn III. If WWE signed Kenny, there wouldn't be a single prayer of him going to NXT. After AJ's debut last year, I think the dye is cast for people in the type of position AJ was in, or Kenny could let himself be in: main roster or no thanks.

I mean, Omega in WWE would be cool, but can we at least get Samoa Joe and Nakamura on the main roster first?

All I want is for Kenny to be paid handsomely and satisfied with his career. Doesn't matter if it's WWE or New Japan. So open up the checkbook, Hunter and Kidani.

Didn't Cena once post the same picture to his Instagram that Punk has as his twitter avatar? It's not out of the realm of possibility that he's stirring the pot knowing people will look to last year's AJ picture. Still a more plausible #2 theory behind "He was giving the dude props" than "Omega is coming".

All Cena was doing was acknowledging him, just giving him props because he likely saw the match and he appreciates what he saw. Just check the rest of his IG, he posts stuff like this all the time. It's unlike the Styles pic as Styles was rumored heavily to be heading to the WWE before Cena posted his pic. Cena posted it shortly after it was everywhere on the dirtsheets.

Including WWE.com themselves, don't forget. They put that article out that referenced the "rumours" about Styles/Nakamura/Gallows/Anderson coming in.

If Kenny Omega joins WWE, would they change his name?
Not just cause of the whole wanting rights to the Omega name, but also becaue there already *two* freaking KOs in this company?
I think they should just let Ohno have the Chris Hero name and let Omega stay as is.

This is a company that currently has THREE "Big" wrestlers on the main roster, and once had three Chrises, alongside a Christian AND a Christy. Three guys sharing initials would be nothing.

As long as they don't make 'KO' as part of Ohno's and Omega's branding, then I guess it's not a big deal. Kevin Owens has that locked down.

It'd be worth it just to hear Jim Cornette throw a bitchfit

It'd be worth it just to hear Jim Cornette throw a bitchfit And then to see people still act like Cornette said Owens and Zayn would never ever be stars in the WWE when they actually did exactly what Cornette said they should do.

Not sure about Sami, but Cornette's main criticisms of Kevin Owens in ROH boiled down to him not liking that KO wore a T-shirt, had a beard and wasn't jacked. Owens seems to have done pretty well not listening to any of that.

Say what you want about TNA, if nothing else they made people aware of AJ Styles for years prior to him signing with WWE. Kenny Omega, while amazing, has nowhere near the name recognition AJ did. Plus, to a casual audience, even if they do know who Omega is... it's more like due to his work in DDT wrestling the girl and the doll in comedy matches. So they'd expect him to come in as a comedy wrestler, when he's worked so hard to be respected for his legit talent and has become one of the best wrestlers in the world.

More than likely, if he did sign (he probably wouldn't), they'd stick with with Anderson and Gallows, then probably run an angle with Finn with he comes back from injury.

Is the general audience nearly as familiar with Omega as they were with Styles? I wouldn't expect a surprise Rumble appearance to be as big of a deal. Yeah unless the RR crowd was the smarkiest bunch of smarks that ever smarked I don't think he'd get much of a reaction. It's probably just Cena acknowledging he watched the Okada match. Depends where it us this year. New York, Chicago, Philly, Florida etc would blow the roof for him. I'm sure most WWE fans didnt know AJ either, but the Royal Rumble reaction was pretty much "if you don't know, you're about to learn"
