I laughed. I'll never be seeing it anyway. Not because it's too scary (looks far from it), but because the FX networks have taken to aggressively spamming the trailer all over the place. I seriously can't watch the Simpsons anymore without seeing it at least 2-3 times every few hours. It's annoying.

I just don't get what they were going for. They knew the name was stupid so instead of giving their monster a better one, they decided to go for a "so there!" tagline.

The social media writing for this has been laughably bad. Yesterday I saw a post that said:

Reminds me of how the ads for The Apparition, which is purely shit in its own right, had some nonsense that it could only kill you if you believed in it. They then of course nixed that in the film proper, probably when it occurred to them it could never kill anyone who wasn't fully aware of what it was, if that was the rules, which would make for a stupid film. Not that they needed any help with that.... |
