Assassin's Creed. While Unity wasn't particularly good, and the first game hasn't aged well, I've really enjoyed every other instalment. Call of Duty - ditto. It's funny, I've been on a Assassin's Creed binge lately. I actually finished the first one, too; something I've never done before. Man, the Ezio trilogy is so damn good.

The Saw filmsI am honestly convinced that the vast majority of people who dismiss the franchise as "torture porn" (by the way guys, all using that catchphrase accomplishes is making you come off as a pedantic twat) haven't seen any of the movies. Now I'm not gonna argue that some of the movies aren't bad - in fact, the sequels as a whole, even the few good ones, really feel highly unnecessary - but the original remains a masterpiece in my opinion and it's still a decent franchise overall and one of the few that has had a continuous storyline and really tried to add to its lore with each movie instead of just taking unrelated scripts and adding some references to the villain. Granted, it's not always done well but it's nice to see a horror franchise actually put some effort into its story. And frankly, even with the later films devolving into more and more of a gore show, I'll take that over an hour and a half of jump scares because at least the prospect of dying gruesomely IS scary, unlike loud noises, which are just annoying. And yeah, the original was brilliant and a great example of how horror characters should be written: give them some flaws to attract the ire of the killer but keep them good people overall so we still care about and identify with them and actually get scared for them when they're in danger. And even with the franchise losing its way and becoming more and more about punishing assholes rather than good people being unfairly punished by a maniac who thinks he's helping, it still remained one of the better horror franchises out there in my opinion. And speaking of Jigsaw, he was a fantastic villain and again, a great example of how to do it right: give him a believable motive but have him still be, you know, a villain by making sure the heroes DON'T deserve what he's doing to them. And yeah, I am interested about what they'll do with it if they do reboot it as is apparently planned. I just hope they remember to make us root for the main characters instead of making it "mwahaha! Let's torture some Nazis!". I think the series would be much better regarded if they had ended it after the third film. I gave up after the 5th movie and never even bothered seeking out 6 and 7. The increasingly convoluted nature of the sequels just killed the franchise for me. But I won't deny the brilliance of the first one, or the surprisingly good 2nd and 3rd. I'd say it'd be finely received if it just ended with six. It's the tale of two trilogies but 7 was such hot garbage. I love the series and that one nearly made me want to delete the history of the franchise from my mind.

I also still love The Simpsons. It's nowhere near as clever or funny as it once was, but I still enjoy watching it and can't imagine TV without it.
I'd also go with the Madden games. I'm not even the world's biggest football fan, but I love those games. They're exactly the same (almost) each year, but I still feel like I have to buy them and I always enjoy the hell out of them.

Family Guy. I know why people have gone off it but I still laugh as much as ever.

Family Guy. I know why people have gone off it but I still laugh as much as ever. It's funnier than ever. Especially once the DVDs come out and you get the uncensored versions of episodes.

Star Wars. Seeing the first movie is one of my earliest memories. I don't find myself watching the series over and over, but each movie feels like a big deal when they are released. I'll go see every new movie opening day because they are a lot of fun and they should be seen on the big screen.

I have a feeling Syndicate might actually usurp it though, as Victorian era England is just one time period I absolutely loathe in fiction.

I love Syndicate but I love Victorian England so it's right up my alley plus I think it's the only one with a female assassin.

Star Wars. Some people hate the prequels, some people hate Force Awakens, whatever. It's Star Wars and I love it despite its flaws. The same, but for the Terminator franchise. It's got Arnie!

I'm a big fan of Terminator also. The only problem I have with the franchise is the fact that some of the dates and ages given by John Connor in part 3 don't line up with part 2. Likewise, my biggest problems with Star Wars lie in the inconsistencies (Leia saying she remembers her mom, Obi-Wan saying Yoda trained him etc.) as opposed to the quality of the movies themselves.

Man of Steel and BvS. While I'm not a BIG fan of them, I do like them more than most do.
I still think Suicide Squad sucks though.

Agree with John Connor's age in 3. I don't think any film in the franchise is truly bad, just that they cannot measure to the bar raised by the first two.

Transformers movies.
They are all formulaic with some world ending threat is in the form of a Cybertronian artifact that the humans must protect.
The excessive juvenile humour, explosion happy, similar looking robots are all a negative.
However -
Bumblebee's muscle car alternative form is a vast improvement from generation 1.
Optimus Prime - Peter Cullen's soothing voice just gets to me. I'm a little boy again, no matter what the film subject matter.
The score - absolutely fantastic in each film.

Pirates of the Carribean, at least before the last movie.
