Looks like we'll be getting a lot of animated Miles...he's supposed to be a supporting character in the next Disney produced series of Spider-Man (alongside his girlfriend Spider-Gwen). The Ultimate cartoon weren't afraid to go with the idea Miles' reality lost it's Peter Parker in tragic circumstances, so it's possible they could do the same here (people do tend to forget Bendis revived Peter in the Ultimate comics before it ended, so if they want a happier ending, they can just write that in)

Peter Parker origins has been told so many times that it is time for a different approach and Miles had gained steam over the years

Coolness.
I think it'd be hilarious if a Batman film was made, only it was Jean Paul Valley, just since the vast majority of the audience would be wondering who the f*** it was. Miles has a heck of a lot more presence than that, thankfully, but it'd be pretty amusing.

USM was my shit but i kinda tuned out after Bagley left. I know Miles met 616 Peter before they merged the two but I thought they had indefinitely killed off Ultimate Peter.

Bendis never got a chance to explain how Peter came back to life, as the Secret Wars event happened and Miles was brought over into 616 permanently. The Ultimate Universe is supposedly destroyed, but they hinted in The Ultimates comic last month everything from the old multiverse still exists somewhere, so who knows if Ulitmate Peter will turn up again (Ultimate Jessica is one of the dimension-hopping web warriors though, as revealed in it's final issue)

I thought they admitted this a long time ago... maybe it was just a rumor at that point.
Though it is a bit strange since they basically stuck Miles' buddy Ganke into Homecoming...
