Tokyo Ghoul. Went from this:
To this:
Basically went from one of the best modern day anime OPs(in fact it was basically the runaway pick for the best OP of 2014) to by far one of the worst.

Just started watching season 2 of The Leftovers.
Not a fan of the new opening theme. Went from this epic biblical like score.... to a folk song. Like the new titles though. Just the song is a step down

Any of you remember Hangin' with Mr. Cooper? Pretty paint-by-numbers TGIF sitcom starring one-hit wonder comedian Mark Curry...
The first theme song was awesome though, it was done by En Vogue (again, for those who don't know, 90s RnB group) and Dawnn Lewis who was a main character on the show:
Then Lewis was canned (or left, idk), and they replaced the theme with stuff like this that simply didn't stack up:

Daniel Bryan going from "Rise of the Valkyries" to "Big Epic Thing", a title that shows how inspired the song was.

That trend in the mid-late 80s to take iconic theme songs and add a techno beat to them. They did it to Silver Spoons,Charles in Charge, there may have been others.

I just wanted to say that I hated the second "In Living Color" theme song when I was a kid. Still don't really like it now.

The original is with them playing with and throwing paint, and the second is the art museum animation? The final season was like a city scape theme. Billboards, subways, etc.

Don't know if it counts, but the English dubs of Dragon Ball Z using the "rock the dragon" theme or the movies having generic guitar solos instead of the epic and timeless Cha-La Head-Cha-La.
The only way I watch it is to switch to original for the intro and back to English once the episode starts.

Though personally from a casual...Cha La Head Cha La is second to...
