With all due respect to Singer, I've liked his X-Men movies for the most part, isn't it time someone else got a crack at it?

I'm fine with it, it just seems odd since Singer said he was taking a break from X-Men,

Bryan Singer: "X-Men expert"... Pfft what do you want something that actually resembles the X-men or something LOL, basically. I don't want a carbon copy of the comics, but I'd at least appreciate a version where the characters personalities (and nationalities) were true to the characters they're based on, and major relationships and landmark events stay intact in some fashion. I'm so tired of Nightcrawler being a broody token religious guy, Beast being a blue furry Hulk, Phoenix being some natural piece of Jean's power, everyone having American accents, etc.

Cause outside of Singer, only Vaughn, and Mangold are the two only other directors that made good X-Men movies. Deadpool is a different beast on it's own and it's just a pilot of a TV Show. Directors usually don't influence a TV Show at all.

Even if it isn't totally comic book accurate, they at least get the vibe/spirit of each character right.

I still have gripes with that one, too (American Banshee, American Emma Frost, the entire Xavier/Mystique thing), but it really is light-years better than the other ones.

Yeah, the only X-Men movie I particularly care for is First Class, and even that has quite a lot of issues with it.
Though really I can't even see WHY they're doing X-Men shows, other than I guess on the level of, "It's working for Marvel and DC, I guess." At least those movies bring in a ton of money, X-Men's been very up and down over the years and judging by the way Apocalypse performed interest seems to be on the way down.
Granted maybe I'd be more on board if they'd just outright reboot this franchise already with what a mess the thing as a whole is and how completely awkward it is how somehow no one has aged in the past 20 years but they're apparently supposed to suddenly jump to being in their 70s by the time of the first one. Though I suppose it's X-Men accurate that it's a convoluted mess that's impossible to form an actual canon on and is a mountain of retcons piled on top of each other at this point with no clear narrative direction or focus even with them ten movies into it. The only thing missing is this down-to-earth series about humanity being in the process of changing that deals with themes of race and sexuality for some reason having a really high amount of stories taking place on spaceships.

I'd kill for a cosmic X-Men movie at this point. After the success of Guardians, I feel like the Starjammers and Shi'ar should have been a no-brainer for Fox.

She's from Boston, Massachusetts. Now the terrible Portrayal of Emma in First Class is another story.

Hey now, Days of Future Past was awesome. I do agree that the franchise needs to be rebooted though. The timeline within the film universe is a mess as a whole and you find yourself confused as to what is canon and what isn't.

The timeline within the film universe is a mess as a whole and you find yourself confused as to what is canon and what isn't. So you mean it's an X-Men property?
