My question would be why they're doing more TNA shows? Again, Tony had a connection to one TNA show and that has been covered. Personally, I wish they'd cover more NWA/WCW stuff. You know, stuff Tony was actually a huge part of. I'll listen regardless because I'm a huge Schiavone fan, but still.

This week’s episode was so much better. Was refreshing to see them review a good show for a change.

Tony has admitted he doesn't remember a ton of "insider" stuff from back in the day. If you listen to the first few months, the show was much more dull and ended up with Conrad making fun of Tony for not giving him anything. The jokes turned the show into what it is now... two guys/friends being sh*tting on each other and their other friends while wrestling is on in the background. If you are looking for the "backstage insider stuff" you aren't going to get a ton of that with this show. Every once in a while Tony will have something, but for the most part it's just a comedy show with wrestling sprinkled in. I love it.... even the shows that people aren't a fan of are still enjoyable to me. The two guys have great chemistry and you can just tell Tony is loving life right now.

I definitely agree about their chemistry and loving the show. To me, it slaughters the rest of Conrad's shows. Like I've said before, you can tell they're actually close friends, something I'm not sure you get with Conrad's other co-hosts (I've never listened to the JR show, so I don't know how it is there). I think Something to Wrestle is insufferable because of Bruce, Eric is full of shit, and I love me some Arn Anderson, but it just seems dull after "Ask Arn #762".

Conrad and Bruce are very close actually. Conrad has referenced that Bruce has an entire "wing" at the Conradisson. He seems to be getting closer with JR as the weeks go by as well. JR has said he's very grateful for him.
Conrad recently called Arn's wife by her first name and then corrected himself by saying "Mrs. Anderson (or maybe Lunde? can't remember which.) Arn corrected HIM and said "No, you were right the first time, you're part of the family now." Conrad and Eric have also gotten a lot chummier over time and have no problem busting each other's balls.

I started listening to this show this week because I finally got all caught up with Grilling JR (Ive started exercising more and I listen to these during it)
Is every show a watch along? Because I really like the format of Grilling JR in how its structured but I wasn’t really impressed with this just a lot of the time it seemed unfocused and gaps in between and kinda barely paying attention to the show they are meant to be talking about (I mean it was WCW GAB 2000 but still)
I picked this one because I thought they’d have a lot to talk about behind the scenes etc that’d be interesting but it was just kinda eh
Like it was alright but just that

Like I get not remembering every little thing (Because I can tell when JR is bulls*****g his way through a response most of the time lol) but yeah even a bit more focus on the episodes reason would suit me more Yeah I probably won’t listen to another which is a shame because I never really watched WCW (Apart from when it was on channel 5 in the UK *Shudders*) and I’ve come to enjoy Tony on AEW so thought this would be a really good listen but alas not to be (for me anyway)

Tony has that forced crass humor I hate - as well as too much WCW bashing. However, I like him more than Bischoff and Prichard.

This is different than his other 3 podcasts. The podcast is just two guys shi**ing on each other watching wrestling...... akin to Mystery Science 3000 (or whatever it's called). They have a lot of "inside jokes" from previous podcasts that can be confusing at times.

They do so many ECW shows on here. It’s ok to do a few, but you can definitely tell Conrad is an ECW guy.

Conrad and Eric have also gotten a lot chummier over time and have no problem busting each other's balls. It's really something, because Conrad is a guy that I'm honestly not sure I'd like in real life (I have a major distaste and lack of trust for people in sales), but the dude built a podcast empire just by figuring out how to adapt to what his guests can and can't do. Tony has no insider knowledge, but is a funny guy, so WHW is a shtick show now. Bruce (asskisser that he is) is a great storyteller when he's engaged in the subject. He also is more than willing to do bits, like Jerry Jarret. Bischoff is more like a "Business of wrestling, according to Bischoff" type of podcast. Arn is a little dry but brutally honest and often says the most sensible and straight-up things about the wrestling industry and booking. JR is probably the easiest... say something you know will set him off, and then let him rant for 5-10 minutes about it.

I think Conrad, the businessman/salesman, is probably a shark that will do whatever he can to get ahead (which is how you get to be as successful as he is.... so that is not meant necessarily as a negative). Conrad the guy, seems cool as hell to me. He might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I feel like he bends over backwards to support his true friends.

You can definitely tell how much Conrad loves ECW ( nothing wrong with that ) and if Conrad loves it, Then Tony will as well. This used to my favorite podcast and 2nd place wasn't close. But the last couple months it has lost its appeal to me and I can't put my finger on exactly why that is. I still like it, just not as much as I used to.

Same here, I caught some of the Hardcore Heaven 97 episode and it was okay, I forgot how bad the PPV was to the point even Heyman was ragging on it on the TV shows. I'm more into Grilling JR these days and wanting to hear about someone's goddamn push.

I could never get into the podcasts with Tony but look forward to most of the others each week.
Bischoff seems to polarise people but I have to admit I really enjoy his show, especially when he goes comedically OTT commentating on his own matches and segments.
JRs is probably my favourite of them all, possibly because they tend to cover a timeframe when my fandom was at its peak and give genuine insight from that time or because I'm just a mark for the man. I quite enjoy when he goes off on one too with leg slapping the most recent annoyance of his.
Arn's is very dry but still worth listening too most weeks for insight on more recent WWE events.
I've never tried Bruce's, I've only ever heard clips of Bruce bullshitting, is it worth trying even with Bruce back at WWE full time?

I thought that one Halloween Havoc show was hilarious. But I've stopped listening despite liking Tony because it started feeling like forced attempts at humor and repetitive bits.

How many ads did this Stephen Singer guy buy for this show? It felt like there was a ton of them on this week’s show.
