A very versatile actor who killed it in nearly every role he played. This sucks but, he lived a long and accomplished life.

My first exposure to him, albeit unknowingly, was through the Manic Street Preachers 1994 single "Faster", which opens with a quote of him from the film of "1984"
"I hate Purity.
I hate goodness.
I don't want virtue to exist anywhere.
I want everyone corrupt."
He was an odd little part of my life for so long, through this song. I have since become aware of other work of his, and indeed he was a damn fine actor. He will be missed.
