I worked in a carry out for a number of years and lotto tickets were a huge seller. Anyways we had a woman who came in every day and spent at least 10$ a day. One time she won 10k but I'm sure she spent more than that on tickets that year.

Several 2,5,10 dollar wins on scratch offs over the years.
My friend's dad win 50 grand a long time ago.
Funny story:
On a Sunday I was at work talking a woman and she had just got off the phone with her female friend. She said a guy who she had known for a while, who had come in town was trying to see her before he left on Saturday night. She had some friends who wanted her to go out clubbing with them so she blew him off hanging with him to be with them. She said she knew he liked her and he was cool, but she wasn't sweating him that much. Not really talking him serious. Well the next day, after he gets back home, he text her. He says he had wanted to see her. He had won the lottery while he was in town, $200,000 to be exact, and he wanted to surprise her with a night on the town if he they hung out that night before he left. He figured it shouldn't have taken him to tell her that in order for her to come since it was his last night in town QED they were friends. She didn't believe he won, and he proved it. She was sick when he did. I told her that he was better than me because would have never told her I won at all. And if my experience serves me right, this ain't the first time you snubbed him thinking that he would still be there later. She was like, "How did you know?". I said, this is normally how it goes.

went to school with the nephew of the first ever big lottery jackpot solo winner in the uk, he was a nice lad until his uncle won £18 million where he thought it meant he could buy and sell everyone and that he was better than everyone else. after a few months when he found out his uncle wasn't giving him any money he changed schools as he'd been such a shit about it even the teachers no longer wanted him there.
myself, won £300 on one draw (euro millions) and £90 same night (daily play.) on a second draw, paid for my xbox 360 slim console the following month (I only got £130 of the winnings as I split it with my parents 3 ways.)
