In about a 1 1/2 year span my Mom won $1,000 on a scratch off and my Dad hit $20,000 on a slot machine. The funny thing is neither of them did those things that often.

Guy I used to work with won $120,000 once. It did not last long.
I once won $200 on a slot machine in AC and yelled in triumph. My far richer friend almost immediately hit a $1500 slot, ruining my moment.

Only amount of money I ever won off of a scratch off ticket is when I won a combined $75 on two Twilight Zone cards.

Both my brother and dad have won over $500 on scratchers.
I have a manager at my store that won $1000 twice, and then $500 in a span of about 10 days. I've not said anything out loud since he's in good with the higher-ups and I'd likely get smacked down, but I always found it funny that, for someone that claimed to have bought their tickets across the street and not at our store (where we sell scratchers, lotto tickets, and have a ticket checker), he'd not even play them until the middle of his shift (and not even his break, when it would've been OK for him to do so). We'd both be two hours into the shift and then "Holy shit, I just won a thousand dollars". Like, I can't prove concretely that he was checking tickets behind the counter before he purchased them, but it was pretty damn hard to believe he wasn't doing that.

My dad used to give scratch offs to our neighbor every year.
Then in 2 consecutive years, he bought a new fridge, then a new car.
My dad stopped buying him scratch cards after that.

I visited my town's casino with ten dollars in free slot play. I walked out with 81 bucks.
My biggest win on a scratch ticket was $14.

I'm ALWAYS hitting nicely on scratchers.
-$500 on a $1 -$2,500 on a $5 -$5,000 on a $10 -10,000 on a $10 -$30,000 on a $3 -$100,000 on a Mega
(they really f*** you on the taxes...I got like $13k on the $30, for example)
plus various 50s, 75s and 100s all over the place. The office has a lotto pool and they have me go and actually buy the tickets because they think I'm so lucky.
EDIT: Oh yeah...once, I walked into a casino with $50 and walked out wiht $7500(rounding up, but not by much). All on the roulette table.

A friend and former co-worker of mine won 100,000 on a scratch off once, and my dad won 5,000 about twenty years ago. I've never had any luck with scratch tickets, but I have won 1,000 and 600 on slot machines before.

Years ago, when I worked in a factory, I saw a coworker walk out of a gas station with a lottery ticket and never saw him again, so maybe?
